Chapter 6- Golden Nugget
Chapters song- Sober, P!nk"I look at you and I'm home. I see nothing worse than to be without you because with you my soul feels complete. You are my home, no matter where that is"
Matilda
My hips sway from side to side as I dance along to the beat of the blaring music. The music makes my ears pop from the sudden drop in the song and it just makes this party so much more enjoyable. The dance floor is covered with drunken teenagers of all ages. They all grind, kiss, dance and cuddle each other to the beat of the music. The alcohol has made my head feel all fuzzy and my eyes can't make out the view in front of me.
I don't know how many drinks I've had exactly, maybe eight? Plus a fair amount of shots.
But I'm having the time of my life.
This is the time where I can forget and just live in the moment. Have fun, no strings attached. I can forget about my life that seems to be crumbling before my eyes. I can forget about my brother's death that I caused. I can forget about all the expectations I have to live up to.
Just for tonight I can act like everything's okay and be a different person.
Some good looking guy is grinding against my body and I don't stop him. I turn my body around and dance with him face to face. We grind, touch, flirt throughout the whole song. As the song finally comes to its end, I start to feel parched from all the dancing. My throat is burning for another drink.
I go to walk away from the guy but he suddenly tightens the hold he has around my waist. I grab his hands and try to move them away, but he won't budge.
"Let go". It comes out more of a whisper and I curse myself for the soft tone I used. Why is it that when I need my hilarious comebacks or I need to defend myself my brain shuts down.
The guy does nothing but tighten his grip on my waist and chuckle at my struggle. What's up with him?
"I said let go!" This time my voice comes out stronger. I mentally congratulate myself and pat myself on the back. The guy seems taken aback by the tone in my voice and the hold he has on my waist is slightly loosened. I take the chance to hit him right where it hurts-
Of course that would be right in the golden berries.
I bring my foot up and kick him right in the spot.Jackpot!
He curses and bends over in agony and I quickly slip out from his grasp.
I quickly walk almost stumble away from the guy but before I leave I give him a quick, little message. "If you ever want children, make sure you get that checked out".I walk away clumsily from the scene that just occurred seconds ago and make my way over to the right side of the main room. I think that's what I'm in, although I can't really tell. The alcohol is drowning my thoughts. It's still heavily in my system.
Images of that guy holding my waist makes me want to throw up. I'm glad I had escaped from him in time. I wouldn't even want to imagine all the vile things he could of possibly done to me. I'm glad God made the private parts sensitive...
Teenagers are everywhere. They are all hanging with their clique. You have the goths and outsiders at the darker end of the main room, the nerds all bunched close together in another corner, the druggies and future drop outs are all outside somewhere- they always seem to be able to find somewhere to get high as a tree trunk. On the dance floor are either Populars from Delroy or the pupils who attend our rivalry school, Stark. They may be our schools rivalry, but they know how to party and they provide the rest of the girls and I with some hot, young boys. That may sound kind of creepy but trust me, the boys who attend Stark are hot.
