Do you know those moments when you don't want to be apart of society? I know them well. That's why I bought my dream house on the shores of Maine. Away from everyone. When I can't handle society, I come here to my escape from reality. My name is Autumn Haynes and this is my story.

It all started when I was a sophomore in high school. I had a magnificent friend group at the time, but one day, it all fell apart.

May 23, 2015

The eight of us were sitting under a tree in the school's yard. It after school and we were all having our own conversations with each other.

Sarah and Kelsey were talking about what they were going to wear to the spring formal. Sarah wants to wear a white gown, but Kelsey is trying to explain to her that it is a spring formal, not her wedding day.

Cruz and Brooks were discussing plays for their next baseball game. Cruz wanted to have more players inner field. Brooks counter with that the opposing team liked to hit balls far and deep. Yes, they are the captains.

Russell and James were arguing about which Assassin's Creed game was the best. Russell insists that Unity is better, and James argues that Assassin's Creed 3 is the all time best.

Last, but not least, Britt and I are revising and editing my most recent story. She is helping me fill in the gaps of the story. By the time we finished is when it happened.

Stefanie, her group of cheerleaders, and some jocks walked over to us. The jocks nodded to Cruz, Brooks, Russell, and James. They stood up and walked over to them giving us girls a nod. Britt and I look at each other in shock. We watch the guys walk away in a discussion about something.

"Let's go, girls, we don't have all day," Stefanie complained while she rolled her eyes. She turned and walked away with her girls. Stephanie and Kelsey stood up, gave us simpatic glances and hurried to the cheerleaders. Britt and I sat there in disbelief.

"What the heck just happened?" I yelled. I was furious and confused. Everyone just left without explanation. I paced back and forth not realizing that Britt was dead silent with her head down.

The animal society club walked by with a glance towards Britt and I. I glared at Britt, "If you want to leave then leave. It's not like I even liked you or anything."

Britt tilted her head like she was considering leaving even though I already knew what she was going to do. Boy was I right. She patted me on the shoulder, "I'm so sorry, Au."

"It's Autumn to you," I spat. I stood there trying my best not to scream. I grabbed my stuff and marched home.
