Today was not a good day. My former group of friends had apparently they had all gotten back together as a group without thinking of me. I am an emotional mess, not just because it's shark week, but what they are doing hurts me more than just a flesh wound.
It started out like a normal day until after school. Rylan was still trying to persuade Ivy and me to be in one of the plays he wrote and is directing. Ivy likes the idea of acting, but she has stage fright while I don't like being the center of attention, and acting is against that.
Someone overheard our conversation.
"I'll be in you little play, Jake." I recognized that voice. She glided in front of us with her group behind her. All seven of them almost dog piled when she halted to a stop. "It's obvious that you'll need my help, seeing these two are your only hope."
Britt went to say something but stopped herself. I clenched my jaw still seeing that she doesn't have the courage to stand up for me.
Cruz and Brooks walked up to Ivy and me. "Hey Cruz, how 'bout we take these two away from all the drama?"
"Yeah, we should," Cruz agreed. He wrapped his arms around Ivy's waist while Brooks copied his actions, but to me.
Sarah clenched her fist and marched to us. "First, you stole my best friend, and now my boyfriend?"
Wait, what? When did I steal her best friend? "What are you talking about, Sarah?" I question walking in front of her. "I never stole anyone from you, and this is Cruz being Cruz, seeing a girl he wants, and being all over her. You have been oblivious to it for the longest time, but you never listened to me when I have tried to tell you, to stop you from getting hurt!" I yelled. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves, "Besides, you and the group walked away from me almost a year ago. You have no clue on what that did to me mentally, emotionally, and physically."
Rylan and Ivy gasped at my outburst. I never told them anything before we became an amazing group of friends. After, I scolded Sarah and the old group, I grabbed my stuff and headed home, ignoring Ivy and Rylan's calls.
Now, I'm sitting here in the attic writing about my day. The attic is my place at home. Yes, it holds storage, but we don't have much, so I was allowed to turn it into my own hideout. The best part? My dad installed a fancy staircase in my room leading to a secret doorway to my attic. I tell everybody including Rylan and Ivy, the staircase is just for decoration. In reality, it's my happy place.

There is still quite a bit left for Autumn. This is their high school Junior year. The next chapter will be in summer then our trio are Seniors. I know I skipped over Junior prom, but to be honest, I totally forgot about it. I will try break my format and write a prom chapter for you guys.
I'm excited to write their Senior year of high school. Things are happening.
Idk when I will update again because I have Spring Break in two weeks, and I don't think I am going to be bringing my computer with me, so we will see how this works.
