Hello! This is the final chapter of this story. I hope you all enjoyed it, despite my mistakes and lack of imagination in some of the chapters, and please vote and comment, so I can know your thoughts about it :)

This is my second story on Wattpad and so, obviously, I still have to work on my writing but I really have fun creating this stories and I still want to share them here.

Please, again, vote and comment :D

Merry Christmas to you all!

Epilogue

3 years later...

On the past 23rd of March, Silver Bullet Corporation has been sued for illegal testings and awaits the final trial. Responsible for the epidemic that devasted the entire Unitates States, Silver Bullet was shut down and several governmental entities executed investigations to examine every instalation as the subjects used in the experimentations. It was confirmed that over fiteen werewolves had been subjected a cruel and inhuman tests, being presumed dead fourteen of them. As a witness of these crimes, Maya Sanders gave her testimony against the company. Former scientist, Maya Sanders was employed for three months when the catastrophe occured. She was acquitted of any crime since her testimonies were according with the investigations and the authorities found her inocent....

My mind drifted off of the rest of the news. We had made it. Silver Bullet was destroyed, every scientist found guilty was behind bars and wolves were safe. I couldn't even believe that three years had passed.

After that day, when we reached the big wall, we were sent to governmental facilities were we were seen by doctors, psychologists, lawyers and even the prime minister. We were called heroes. We didn't feel like heroes though, we felt lucky, survivors. Over 83% of USA population had been decimated by the plague, our country didn't exist anymore. Two months in those facilities had passed quite quickly and soon we were sent to our new homes in Ontario, Canada. All of us were given houses in a private condo payed by the state. So, now, we all lived together. We lived happy.

My phone rang, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's me." Charlotte's happy voice called. We had all become very close, including me and Samatha, who had found a love interest in one of the soldiers that had rescued us and was now dating him, however, me and Charlotte were best friends, almost sisters. Despite living in the same neighbourhood, only two minutes, on foot, to each others houses, she always insisted on calling me. Lazy woman."Have you seen the news?"

"Yes, I'm watching it right now. Do you believe it? The nightmare is over." I said, with a sight of relief.

"We're free, no more trials, testimonys, annoying lawyers...it's all over now." She giggled on the other side.

Smiling, I closed my eyes and let the reality sank in. It was all over. All those weeks of running, fighting for our lives were past. Those months of running to the court, all over. They got what they deserved and that was what made me sleep in peace at night.

"Have you talked to Ryan and Samantha?" I asked.

"Yes, they all saw. They can't believe either." Charlotte said, giggling after. I raised a brow at the phone and listened attentively. A deep voice reached my ears and I suppressed a mischievous smile.

"Charlotte, can you please tell Ace to let us talk privately?"

"What? Ace is not... I mean he...Well, he's not..." She stuttered, and I new she was blushing like crazy. Ace's throaty laughter only confirmed what I already new. " Oh shut up, both of you." She grumbled as she quietly sent Ace away. They had become a couple a few months after being brought to Canada and their were a cute and somewhat pervert couple, at least Ace was a pervert. I laughed quietly at that thought.

"So what is going to happen now?"

"Don't know, Char...I guess we will have to learn how to be Canadian." I answered, choosing a movie that was starting on the tv. "USA doesn't exist anymore, this is our new lives now."

"Yeah, I know, I just cannot believe in it yet... Well, I got to go, Ace wants to go buy some stuff before dinner. It's at 7 o'clock okay? Don't be late!" She demanded.

"Calm down, woman, I'll be there. And, usually, who arrives late is Samantha not me." I grumbled softly.

"Whatever." She laughed. "See you later." Charlotte said, hanging up.

I sighed and leaned against the soft pillows on the couch, watching the movie, when a pair of soft, wet lips met my neck. Shivers covered my skin when I cranned my neck to see Kane, who smiled down at me. He grinned and leaned down to kiss me.

"I thought you were in the shower." I said, kissing his chin.

"I was."

"You listened to the conversation, didn't you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. His smile got wider. He was always doing that. "You never change. By the way, Char said to not be late tonight."

"Yeah, I heard. I also heard the Silver Bullet is officially closed. We won." He whispered agaisnt my hair as he sat beside me. I knew this was a big deal to him. He had been captured by them, suffered illegal tests and every sort of physical abuse, from tasers to being assaulted with every sort of object they could use to hit him. This meant the world to him.

"Yes, we won. We're free. You're free."

He smiled lovingly before leaning for another kiss.

"I love you. Thanks for this, for everything…"

"You know I love you too and you don't need to thank me. I did it not only for you but for me, too. They deserved every bit of suffering I could cause them." I replied, my voice dead serious.

"I know but you suffered also with all of those trials..." He whispered, nuzzling my cheek. "I just wanted for all of this to be easier."

"Well, it's over now. And, if you forgot, we had an agreement."

"Yes, we had. You kept your word." He laughed, his eyes sparkling and happy. He was beautiful and all mine. I returned the smiled, letting him kiss me again. Kane was always na affectionate man towards me, and me only. Yes, he could still be kinda of an idiot towards other, not to our friends thought, at least not often, but he was better. I would love him either way but was nice seeing him surrounded by people that cared and loved him.

Looking straight into his eyes, I smiled gently at him while holding his hand.

"Of course I did, afterall, a deal is a deal."
