"There's only one thing more precious than time, and that's who we spend it on"

*Marks PoV*

It's time. Today I go on a date with Sean. I've been waiting only a few days, but it feels like months. Months of messaging to find out the time and date. I've never been out with a guy before, and It hasn't been long since I broke up with my girlfriend. I guess it's time to try new things. I am a little scared, but I just keep thinking, it will just be like a day out with my friend, only, more than friends I guess. I stood in front of the mirror to see how I looked. I was wearing a suit, and tie. I'm not going to lie, I looked pretty good. However, it felt too formal. I don't know what Sean will wear, I don't even know what I will wear yet. I opened my wardrobe and stared unblinkingly at the small choice of clothing I had. "Um" I said aloud. It was silent, as I was the only one home. I was used to it, however. The silence of having no one to talk to. Sean was my best friend, there to talk to whenever I needed it. That is why I can't mess this up. I grabbed my best jeans and a red shirt, and slipped them on. I guess these will have to do. I don't have anything else. I grabbed my phone and some money and slipped them into the back pocket of my jeans and set out of the house.
*Bing*
My phone went off whilst I was driving. I glanced at it, I was Sean 'I'm here'. I drove the rest of the way with a big, goofy smile on my face. I parked up outside of Satan's Slaves (yes it's also a restaurant!), where he said we would be meeting. He was standing outside, I was pleased to see that he also had a goofy smile on his face. He ran to my car and opened the door to let me out. We smiled at each other as I stepped outside. I was relieved to see he was also wearing jeans and a blue shirt.
"Hey" I said, smiling
"Hello" he replied "nice restaurant"
"Yeah"
We walked up the steps and into the doors. It looked oddly romantic, it was drowned in red lighting and the seats looked really comfortable, some being red and some white. Each table was sectioned off so you could enjoy your privacy.
We walked through the restaurant, to the bar, where a couple of girls were waiting for someone to serve.
"Hello, um we have a table reservation" Sean said when we got there.
"We do?" I said confused. He just looked at me and smiled.
"Of course, what's your name please?"
"McLoughlin"
After running her finger down the list in front of her, she said, smiling "Okay, let me show you to your table" and walked out from behind the bar and into the organised array of tables.
When we got to ours, still smiling, she said "there you go sirs" we sat down and the lady gave us a menu each, and left.
