"Christmas Special- "Don't be lonely; I'll spend it with you."
Song: "Snow Flower" by Park Hyo Shin (Incase video is not there, and I really want you to listen to this song while reading this...)
"Snow Flower": [Some OOC and Aki don't hate it. You're just really nice person in this special]
Her blonde hair swayed as a cold breeze went against her. Froze water fell from the grey sky, as it promised, it gave a gift of snow. The sound of snow sticking to shoes was heard, as chats of people walked around her. A red scarf wrapped around her neck, ears and mouth, bundling in warmth around those areas. She wore a light brown jacket that it was long enough to fall to her knees. She wore skinny black jeans, and wore black converses to match. Every time a breath would escape, hot breath collided with cold air, which now the invisible breath, was visible. The girl's grey-blue eyes were sad, and it held a nostalgic glance. She continued to walk, not a care of who, what or how she bumps into people; all the things plugged into her mind was-
This was the first Christmas without her parents, and it made her heart ache. She was walking in the city, people hustling around her, looking for last minute Christmas presents. Everything almost like a shark frenzy. Why? No. Today wasn't Christmas; but it was Christmas Eve, and it was tis the season all around. From tensile hugged onto the post, mistletoe above the doors, and the green and red signature color. Where it was the season for the spirit of giving and spending with family; but in the girl's case, it wasn't. This girl was, Aki Hana.
She decided to visit her parents' grave, for this is why she was out. Minutes pass, and it seemed she reached her destination. She walked up to the graves, and she removed the snow that covered it. Feeling the texture of the characters ingrate into the rocky earth stone. "This grave hold memory of Ite and Ame Hana; as they forever hold their peace." She read out loud. Soon a tear fell down her face, and more soon came after. She fell in tears, and memories of them passed her mind. "I miss you guys so much. Please, please come back." She fell to the floor, and she tried to make the tears stop. Trying to stop her sobs.
After a while, Aki found herself out of tears. Like a lake all dried up. Her face bloated, and red, her hair a wreck; she looked horrible. When she calmed herself, she stood up. "Aki; face the truth. You'll never see them again." She smiled; a bitter smile. And her smile soon turned week. She took a step; she fell to her knees. She tried again, better than she did just now. She started to walk away.
She was more stable now, but she still looked a wreck. She unlocked her phone, checking the time and if her missed messages. "9:17; quite late..." She clicked her messages app, and see who called and text her. "5 missed calls, with 3 voicemails. Along with 20 text; dang..." She decided to skip all the drama with, "Where were you?" or, "We're very worried." She sighed. She slipped the IPhone into her front pocket, and she stuffed her frozen hands into her jacket sleeve. "What a horrible day..." She decided to wonder around, and she found herself wondering around. She stopped, and realized that she was in a park. She looked around, no one in sight, and the snow continued to fall. She walked over to the swings; she wiped off the snow. She sat herself down, and started to slowly rock herself back and forth with her legs. Now the only sound was the sound of the squeaking swing.
"I'm so lonely." Aki thought; even though she had, Kyo, Yuki, Shigure and Tohru. They didn't understand. "Shouldn't you be at Shigure's place; the place you call home." Aki lifted her head; and looked toward the deep voice. "Hatori..." Aki said. He stood in front of her, his one eyes usually covered, he wore a comfy jacket and his usual black shoes. "It's not good for your health; it's too cold out." He explained. "What about you? You're a doctor, why are you out here?" She strikes back. He frowned at her comment. He noticed her look; messed hair, and strained tears. "I heard about you are your... circumference." Aki looked confused, but she had a feeling of what he meant. "I know how you feel." Aki's eyes widen, and she sat up a bit; looking at Hatori in shock. "That seemed to get your attention." He walked over to the swing set next to Aki, new prints were made. He took a seat.
"It wasn't really with my family, and the details don't match. But the idea's there..." He looked at the snow, and toward the sky; watching the white beauty fall to the floor. His face was somber and stern "Her name was Kana... and she was my Ex." Aki looked at him in shock.
"She started out as an assistant, and after a while, when we spent time together, we fell in love and started dating. She even found out my secret; Tohru was a lot like her. That would give you an idea of her." Aki nodded, waiting for him to continue. "I wanted to propose to her... be with her forever." His smile went bitter; Aki frowned. "So I asked Akito for permission... and..." Aki looked at him in sympathy. The way he looks was so painful to see. "He refused, and he smashed a vase. That's how I lost my eye sight. But even though it wasn't Kana's fault, she continued to blame herself." He looked like he was going to cry. "Because of the traumatic incident, she became ill; she would always break out in tears. I loved her so much; I couldn't see her in pain anymore that I had to..."
Aki's eyes widen; that she felt herself crying to the man. "I had to erase the memories of our time together. Soon after we continued to work together, and she left the office. I distance myself again, and I never loved anyone again." He turned toward Aki, and soon he found himself in an embrace.
Aki reached outward to him, and hugged him; tears falling out of her eyes. "You must have felt horrible, you were all by yourself; baring the pain all alone. *Sniff Hatori was shocked; shocked that someone cared, and showed it. He finally opened up to someone, and his heart felt warm. She felt warm; and slowly, he wrapped his arms around Aki. And he cried a bit that Christmas Eve. 'Thank you... Aki Hana.'
Slowly, the two stopped embracing, and Aki sat back down on the swing set. "Hatori... can I tell you something?" Aki asked. Hatori looked at Aki. "You remind of snow you know... you lack the ability to open up to others, and are always quiet and calm. But... you're always very beautiful and comforting." She held out her hand, as a snow flake fell into it. "But snow doesn't always have to stand alone, because... there is always someone who cares for it..." She turned to face Hatori. "I'll always care for you... Hatori." She smiled at him. His heart softened, and he stared at her in awe.
"You're very beautiful Hana-san." He smiled and looked to the ground. "Just like you're name, Aki... you're as colorful as the season. But just like Hana, beautiful on the outside." He smiled. "Do you know what the fall stands for?" Aki's head nodded no. "In poetry, it is often referred to melancholy. With the possibilities of summer are gone, and the chill of winter is on the horizon. Skies turn grey, and many people turn inward, both physically and mentally." He stood up, and walked over to the vending machine. He came over to Hana with a warm drink. "Every time I talk to you, you remind me of melancholy." Aki stared at him. Her eyes were a sparkle, surprised to see this side of Hatori. 'I bet I'm the first to see Hatori this sincere.' She smiled; feeling special.
The two sat down together, side by side on the swing set; enjoying one's company. The two looked up at the sky, watching the snow fall.
'I'm not lonely anymore.' Aki sipped at her drink.
'There's someone else just like me.' Hatori stared at the snow.
'My special Snow/Flower.' Aki and Hatori smiled.
Happy Holidays. :D
