Chapter 5: Trip to the strangest

"Shocker." Damon says in a sarcastic tone.

"I need someone to talk to my family to try and convince them I'll make a good coven leader." Kai explains.

"I vote Malia." Damon interrupts.

"Oh Damon... that's so kind." I smile and growl at him.

"Actually that would make sense..." Kai mumbles. 

"Number one, You're a very convincing person and two, I'm pretty sure you're the strongest out of all of us." Stefan says as if he's on Kai's side.

"Ok fine but if anything happens to the prison world Kai, I'm leaving you there." I whisper.

"Actually you can't because Kai is the only way you can get out."  Stefan point out.

"I'm going with you two. I don't trust him and I never will." Bonnie exclaims. 

I smile at her. She is actually a really good friend. I've only known her for a short while yet she's already risking her life for me. I owe her.

It's about half an hour later and we're ready to go back to 1903 aka Kai's prison world.

 "You ready?" Bonnie asks me.

"I guess." I answer back. 

Kai starts to mumble some words under his breath. Bonnie slices her hand and her blood started dripping onto the ascendant. 

In about a second everything went white and then the world started to fade back into color.

I look around me. Everything looks the same yet there's something that'snot quite right.

 "Kai are you sure this is it?" I ask nervous.

"Oh this is it alright." Bonnie answers instead.

"Right follow me." Kai implies. 

Me and Bonnie follow Kai. He was walking at a quick and steady pace. You could tell he was eager to get there. He was looking around him as if he was lost.

"Kai you do know where we're going right?" Bonnie asks.

"Yeah sure." He answers while still walking.

About ten later He tells us that this was it. The walls were narrow and closed in. It was misty and gloomy. It was so dark that you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face. 

Kai grabbed a stick and looked at Bonnie grinning. 

She faked smiled and did a spell to light the stick. He then looked at me and paused.

"...Ladies first." 

"Be careful Malia, watch your back." Bonnie warns.

She stays at the entrance and me and Kai go down the crumbling stone stairs.

I hold the lit stick in front of me and its light brightened it's way through the darkness. I come to halt. I was at the bottom step and there was nowhere I could go. Kai bumped into me and I growled at him.

"Sorry Feisty." He mutters.

He squeezes himself in front of me and looks at thee wall. Kai gives me a poor explanation of what to do next-

"Look into the the circle and make your eyes go blue or something." 

I roll my eyes and look at the camouflaged circles hidden into the wall. I couldn't focus though. There was noise coming from the other side of the wall. Throaty screams, High pitched cries and loud banging.

"I can't focus." I tell him expecting him to understand. 

He shows a bit of anger and punches the wall. I could tell there was something he wasn't telling us. There's something else he wants. "I have to play smart." I tell myself. 

Kai tells me to try and focus on getting out of here or my family. 

I look at the sky, it would soon be a full moon. One difference to a were-coyote and a werewolf is that on a full moon it will take ages for a werewolf to change. A were-coyote however, It will take up to a minute for us to transform. I can't defend myself at the minute, Kai might still have some magic left in his system. I could distract him until the moon comes out then I'll pounce.

I pretend to look focused and tell him it won't work.

"Come on!" He yells. 

I hadn't seen him this angry before. It was like something just exploded and anger was pouring out of him. He turns around slowly to face the opposite direction as me. Kai does a sinister giggle and pauses.

"Malia, you do know I'm not dumb right? 

Kai  turns his head back to me and crouches down. He faces me and puts his hands on my cheeks. There was this powerful substance running through my veins. I start to scream in pain. I can hear Bonnie rushing down the stairs but kai uses his magic to push her back and fall to the ground.

"Now, focus and open the door." He demands. 

I get off the floor with my eyes focused on hearing a noise. I could feel it. I could focus. I looked at the circles and the door creaked open. Kai ran inside as if he were a nine year old child going to ToysR'us. 

The room was just a dull empty room. I walk inside cautiously and look at my surroundings. To my right there was nothing, just darkness. To my left a massive chest was in the corner. You could hardly see it and needed a torch to see the whole thing.  

While Kai was mumbling something I try to open the chest however it was locked. Suddenly I could hear Kai's heavy footsteps come very close to me. I turn around and he was behind me with a dagger in his hand. Before I could say or do anything he slices my arm open with it and collects a bit of my blood. Shrieking in pain I growl at him. It was now a full moon and nothing was going to hold me back from hurting him. In the distance I could here Bonnie trying open the door and telling me to not to panic. My dripping arm starts to heal very rapidly and I go to the corner. I needed Tyler. Now. He's the only person I could think of that could stop me from transforming.

Kai drops my blood into the key hole of the chest and it unlocks. He pulls out a little box. It had the numbers 1903 carved into the lid and the box itself was in crested with gold. Delicately opening the box, a silver ring falls out and hits the floor. He puts it on and everything starts to go blurry. I look down to my cut and it had all healed yet there was still a stinging pain there. 

"Kai, my arm... I..." I try to speak but every just goes pitch black.

"Malia!" Bonnie screams."
