I sit down hesitantly opposite Kai and all he does is stare. His green eyes were as bright as emeralds. They had a little tint of blue in them which made it look like my eyes were reflecting on his.
" Bon appetit feisty one." Kai giggled. Grabbing his knife and fork, he started to eat. I gave him a death stare and crossed my arms.
"Why me? What makes me so interesting? Why not Elena,"
"She's always the 'star attraction'." I mumbled to myself.
Silence filled the room. We both stared at each other deeply. In the corner of my eye, I saw my pendent glow.
"Where did you get that?" He asked.
"Tell me why I can't leave and then maybe I'll tell you." I said.
His face wasn't as happy as before and you could see he was annoyed. The smile that was once shadowing his face had disappeared. He stayed quiet and carried on eating like nothing had happened. There was something off about him. Usually he'd hurt me until he got the answer he wanted. Maybe he's defenseless? Maybe that's why he's not retaliating...
"Hey!" I yelled.
I grew my claws out and howled. I was full on coyote. Ready to attack. People have hid stuff about me my whole life. That I was adopted, my old friends.... Not now.
"I said tell me why I can't leave!" I repeated.
His face expression had changed. His faded blue eyes had widened as if he was scared. It was unusual for 'The Kai Parker' to get scared.
"People are going missing! And I'm positive you have something to do with it!" He yelled.
I sat back down and stopped to think.
"Why me?" I repeated.
He looked at me and gave a sigh.
"You're from Beacon Hills... That's where the Ghost riders last were. They must be following you."
"Kai... That's ridiculous. I mean you're psycho but you're still smart."
"Oh, so you think I'm smart?"He questioned in a sardonic way.
I rolled my eyes and started to eat the cold food that the Gemini leader had prepared.
"We're going to Beacon hills. You can wear some of Jo's old stuff. She left loads of clothes here when our dad sent me to the prison world. She was probably traumatized."
Giving him a smart ass look, I start to ask questions.
"And what do you think we're going to find in Beacon Hills huh?"
"Eat up Feisty, we're going soon." Kai smirks.
About 10 minutes later and we start heading off. Kai decided he would drive so that i couldn't pull any tricks.
I turn on the radio and on comes some upbeat music. He looks at me and changes the radio to channel 2. Of course it had to be Nirvana. Sorry but just not a fan.
"Hey! I'm the prisoner, I should get to choose the radio." I reasoned.
"Actually, I don't ever recall you being in a proper prison."
I attempt to bring up the whole thing about the prison world however Kai cuts me off.
"Prison worlds don't count."
"Mr Parker... There are many things you don't know about me... I may have been in prison once in my lifetime." I asserted.
He looked for at me. Staring into my dark chocolate colored eyes. I couldn't help but stare back. It was like something was stopping me from turning away. Our intense 'moment' stopped as another car beeped their way through the road. The witch jolted his head back at the road and kept his eyes on highway. I quickly turned the opposite side and pretended that i was looking at the view. Um no. I was replaying what had just happened.
For the rest of the journey Kai didn't talk. Nor did he look at me. He just kept his hands on the wheel and stayed focus on the road.
Looking out my window, I noticed the sun was setting. Suddenly I was startled by Kai.
"It's about to get dark. Do you know any motels?" He asked.
I stared at my surroundings trying to see if i recognized it here.
"Uh, I think there's one down there. Just take a left." I babbled.
Oh god. I'm going to have to spend the night with a psychopath. I'd rather have to share a room with my biological mother.
We take a left and the road starts to get thin. There were trees and fields surrounding us. About 1 mile away, I could see the Motel. The big red and blue writing on the sign made it stand out from everything else.
As Kai parks the car, we both get out and he heads off towards the reception area.
Motel Glen Capri. Weird name. Hmm.
I walk up to where Kai is and ask for a bedroom. There is no way I will be sleeping in the same room as him.
"Okay my dear, that'll be 20 pounds please." The middle aged woman with very curly hair jabbered.
I sigh and reach in my pocket to grab some money.
Pulling out all the loose change I have, I look down to see if there's enough.
The receptionist gave me a skeptic look and rolled her eyes.
What a... how do i say? Oh! Bitch.
I start to growl at her and show her my claws. Her face drops with fear and all she does is stare, horrified of what she's seeing.
"Let's start again shall we? I'll have a room please." I demanded in a very sassy tone.
While she was getting a key from the draw behind her, her eyes never left mine.
"H- Her- here you g- go." She fretted.
I walk back outside and find my room. The walls were a white colour with a tint of yellow. They were either very dirty or just a horrible colour. Either way i couldn't stand the sight of them.
