I got out of the hospital weeks ago, but I decided to stay in Wisconsin to really hang out with my old friends. Jackson had the day off because the All-Star Week. So in the morning he drove the two hours to get me quickly and the two hours back so we could make our eight o'clock flight to Oakland.
On the ride to the airport, I slept the whole way there. It didn't bother Jackson since he was just glad to have me back. He knew, though, that we had a four hour flight ahead of us, so we could be together then.
On the plane, we weren't the only ones on the flight. The Reagans and the Rinhats (Starting Pitcher) was on the plane with us. Jackson and I didn't care since we sat next to each other in the back of the plane.
"So, did you miss me?" I finally asked laying my head onto the window since I got the window seat.
"No, I didn't miss you one bit?" Jackson playfully said, making a grossed out face.
All of a sudden there was a yell from the other side of the plane, "DON'T LET JACKSON GIVE YOU THAT LOAD OF CRAP, STEPHANE! THE WHOLE TEAM THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO DIE WITHOUT YOU! WE TAPPED A PICTURE OF YOU EVERYWHERE FOR HIM EVEN ON HIS BACK DURING A GAME, THAT HE DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE IT WAS THERE!" I busted out laughing at that. Chase, the one who yelled it, came with Zoey over by the two of us.
Zoey, with a smirk plastered to her lips, said, "Glad to see you, Steph. We all missed you."
"I can tell. Is it true, though, that he had a picture of me taped to his back during a game?" During my break I didn't watch much to none baseball, so I was totally clueless.
Jackson nodded his head, "Yup, six innings it lasted on my back before the first baseman said something about it when I got walked. I was so embarrassed. I ripped it off and handed it to Winters, who handed it to a bat boy, who put it with my things. I couldn't believe that they did that to me. I bet the reporters found that funny."
"Oh," I snuggled right up to him. "You missed me that much. I missed you, too. I was surrounded by Brewer's fans the whole month. The thing that I missed the most was your grilled cheeses, but I had Robert cook me some and they were good."
Jackson held onto me while he said, "Chase, don't you and Zoey have some business in the front of the plane. We are kind of busy back here, talking and stuff."
Zoey rolled her eyes, "Glad to have you back, Stephane. We need to have girl's night."
"Definitely, maybe we can dump these guys off somewhere to go out." Zoey smiled at that before she and Chase walked back toward the front of the plane where their seat's was.
"So, what did I miss, and don't you dare say baseball since I already know that."
Jackson laughed kissing my right cheek, "You missed all of my kisses that I wanted to give you, and you also missed traveling to many places with me, and so many romantic things that I thought about like going hot tubing or going out to eat at fancy restaurant."
"Wow, that sounded like it would have been fun, but I'm still going to tell you that we can do that all since I'm back. And honestly, did you miss me?"
Jackson smiled like a bandit at that one, "Yeah, we still can do the things, but we will have to do extra to make up for last month. And, I did miss you, but only a little bit."
"Well that's good, because I met this guy and he was tots a hottie," I said jokingly.
"Wait, what. Who is this guy? Does he know that you are taken?" Jackson looked so confused that it was hilarious for me.
"Yeah, I met a guy. It was Robert's drinking buddy who is about sixty. Wow, Jackson, I didn't think that you were the jealous type. Don't you know that I only have time for one guy, and that is you if you didn't know."
