12 1 1

Our wedding day finally was here. Yes, I know that it's a Tuesday, but Jackson had an off day so it is alright with me. It was a beautiful day, and it was perfect for our wedding.

I actually don't remember most of this day. I remember walking down the aisle getting lead by Robert. He was as a good replacement for my real father, better than anyone else could have been.

The whole ceremony was a lost memory. It by so fast, and before I knew Jackson and I was kissing to seal the marriage between us. Everything was so perfect.

We had pictures next, which took forever, but at least I had Jackson to keep me company throughout the long hour. The only thing that I remembered him say was, "Fall asleep just yet, we still have to party."

Once pictures were done, Jackson gave me a piggyback ride to the reception the next door. We waited a little bit before we were introduced, but I never climbed down until we got to our seats. Most laughed at our entrance, but I hate wearing heals since they hurt my poor overused feet.

The DJ was saying things, but we weren't listening. I turned to him and quietly said, "Please no baseball-talk today."

"I'll see what I can I do, but I don't promise that'll get a homerun or even a hit."  I laughed at that one before I kissed his cheek.

One I pulled away, I gave him the evil eye before I said, "Watch out; you might just... strike out." Jackson laughed at that as he kissed my cheek.

"Trust me, when the going gets tough, I won't hit you with a pitch."

"And whatever I do, I'll give you a walk eventually, but I might just have to get you out a little bit," I said that, and before I knew it Jackson bent towards me and started kissing me, passionately.

"OKAY, OKAY! LIKE I SAID BEFORE WELCOME TO THE NEW HAPPY COUPLE THAT WASN'T LISTENING BEFORE TO ANYTHING THAT I SAID! THE FOOD WILL BE SERVED IN COUPLE OF MINUTES! WE HAVE THE HUGE DANCE FLOOR, SO ANY TIME THAT YOU WANT TO GET UP AND DANCE FEEL FREE! WE WILL HAVE MUSIC PLAYING ALL NIGHT! AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT NOT HEARING WHAT SOMEONE HAVE TO SAY, SINCE IT WILL NOT BE THAT LOUD!"

I looked at Jackson and laughed. Jackson looked at me like I was crazy, but truthfully I don't really care. "What is up with you?"

"I'm just happy that you have a night game tomorrow so we can enjoy our marriage a little more before you have to go and play some ball. I won't be at your game tomorrow, by the way."

"What are you going to do then?" Jackson asked looking at me with this confusion seeping from his pores.

"Got school tomorrow since I skipped today, and then I think that I'm going to break into life in my new place by dancing in my underwear while having the game on so I can ignore it."

Jackson stuck his tongue out at me right as the food was brought out. Ours came first, which was alright with me. We decided that we would order for each other so we didn't know what we were going to eat. Jackson was delivered with the chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and corn. Me, I got something that wasn't on the menu. I received three grilled cheeses, six chicken strips, and some corn.

"How did you manage this?"

"You see that this is our wedding so I just talked to our chefs, and they agreed to cook you a special dish. I knew that this is what you absolutely love so why wouldn't I do that for you," he said smiling like he knew that he just hit a grand slam.

I kissed his lips before I dived into my food. We barely said anything to each other as we ate the mountain of food that we were served.

Once the main course was over, it was time for the speeches event. Zoey stood up first since she was my Maid of Honor. She took a deep breath before she started, "I met Stephane about a month or so after she met Jackson, and from the moment that she greeted me, I knew that she and Jackson was perfect for each other. The next two years, I got to get to know Stephane pretty well since we traveled together and hanged out whatever town that our husbands happened to be in. You, Steph, has this special spark about you that makes you completely unique. I always knew that Jackson deserved the best, but you're better than the best. I never seen a Jackson happier since you came into his life. Just remember not to plan on naming your first born son since it will have to be Jackson Myls the Sixth. Your descendants, unless miraculously it stops, might have to put up with it until it gets over a hundred. I couldn't imagine that. I'm just rambling now, so I'm going to shut up. But Jackson, you are totally blessed marrying a girl like Stephane, since they only come once in a lifetime."

I loved Zoey's speech since it made my demeanor more like an angel than me. Yeah, she did ramble it out, but it's alright with me. She did her best, and I already figured that she didn't write a speech for me.

When it was Chase's turn, I wasn't mentally prepared for it. "Well, Jackson welcome to life of starting a family while still being a baseball player. That life isn't the easiest, but most people in this situation makes it work. Stephane, he might not always be there, but thrust me that he'll be there after work is done. There might be times where the two of you are hundreds of miles apart, but remember in each other's heart that you're never actually apart. But the two of you will have your bumps in the road; the best of us have them, but how you react to those and how you let them effect your marriage will show the true power of your love. From where I stand, I can see how much love you have for each other. I know that no matter what life may throw at you, the two of you will resurface. The most important thing in life is stay together. Try to be the constant in each other's life. Jobs come and go, kids are born and move out, home change location, scenery changes, but the two of you will remain a constant as long as you let each other to be in your life. In words that Jackson could understand, life throws you a change-up to get you off pace, but before it can blast a heater past you, regroup and hit it out of the park. I'm happy for the both of you, and I wish the best of lives for you as you continue your lives."

Chase's speech was amazing; it clearly showed that he had used a lot of thought writing, and I appreciated that. I always knew that falling for Jackson would cause a lot of tough things, but Chase reinsured me that everything would be alright in the end if we continue to have faith in each other.

I took a deep breath because it was my turn to say a few words. "Thank you everyone for coming out today for our wedding, even though it was in the middle of the week. I'm just happy that no makeup game was scheduled today, because so far there have been way too much rain outs. Jackson, honey, I can't believe that we are finally here today, husband and wife. Wow, looking back our relationship hit a new level every single year. The first, we met; the second, we we're engaged; and now in our third year we are married. I guess we could have done this in three days, but we would have run into the risk of hitting an away game. At this rate, we are going to be parents next year. I wouldn't mind that, but we have the rest of our lives together, so we can have an adventure every single year. I can't wait to see what is ahead of us. I love you, Jackson, with all of my heart, with all of my mind. Now Jackson, let's hear what you got."

Jackson kissed my lips before he started with his own short little speech. "Thanks for coming out tonight. I honestly hadn't thought of anything to say since I have been quite busy playing. I guess I'll like just to say, 'Stephane, you're the light that keeps me going. I may have a bad game, day, or anything, and knowing that your mine makes up for everything bad that ever goes on. I love you so much.' Now, let's get this party started."

Dessert was brought out next, but before that could happen we had to cut the cake. The rest of the night was a blur. That day was perfect, as perfect as it could ever be. But any day is perfect as long as I have Jackson.
