Chen smiled as he glanced at the card that sat in front of his window glitter under the sunlight. It was the most precious card he had ever gotten; his birthday kept replaying over and over again as the memories felt like it happened just yesterday. But in truth it was three days ago.
He remembered clearly how baekhyun [attempted] to act as if he forgot about Chen's birthday, but heck he couldn't have been more obvious about it. He tried keeping a straight face as he acted dumb, but of course failed miserably after he accidentally slipped up against his words.
Chen just laughed silently at how cute his boyfriend is being. Since he didn't want to make him feel disappointed he just played along, acting upset that his boyfriend forgot his birthday.
Baekhyun felt giddy, silently praising himself at how good of an actor he is. His act didn't last long though, right after the clock ticked 6 he began leading Chen into a wild goose chase.
Chen couldn't help giggle at the whole cliche plot, going around finding clues under white roses [which he collected]. At the end he found a peachy cream paper with a note on it.
Chen felt tears build up in his eyes from the sweet words. He couldn't believe that this is how baekhyun felt, he sighed shakily as he looked at the back and finding in neat bold handwriting TURN AROUND LOVE.
Chen twirled, slightly ajared from his original position. He wanted to cry and scream right then and there, but the lump in his throat wouldn't let him. He could see baekhyun a few feet away from him and his family and friends in the background.
His breath was sucked out from his lungs as baekhyun began to sing. His voice was breathtaking and angelic, if he didn't know any better, he would've mistaken him for an angel. After his song was done he slowly approached Chen, a small grin plastered on his face.
Chen, I wanna tell you how I feel-- baekhyun paused looking Chen dead in the eyes -- I'm scared. Scared of being hurt again. Scared of how you feel, scared of falling harder. I honestly didn't want to fall for you. Sadness could be seen across Chen's eyes as his breath became shallow. But... I did anyways. And let me tell you... it was the best thing that ever happened to me- YOU'RE the best thing that ever happened to me.
I thought I could live an eternity without loving someone but... here I am second guessing myself. I was wrong and I know I'm being super cheesy but it's the truth I -damn I cannot express myself very well hehe--
Jongdae stops baekhyun from finishing his sentence by crashing his lips against his. The way that baekhyun's lips curled up into smile made Chen's heart beat a mile a second. As they part for air they both rested their foreheads against each other, while staring lovingly into each other's eyes.
Chen could hear his mothers distant squeal, knowing that she knew good and well about her sons feelings for baek. But his mind was focused on the beautiful creature in front of him; Chen sighed as he slowly closed his eyes feeling the warmth of baekhyun's hand in his.
The night felt more special as baekhyun said his final wishes in a small whisper so only the two can hear.
Happy birthday my love. May all your dreams come true~
But it already has.
Chen opened his eyes to see a big smile on baekhyun's face. He sighed dreamingly as baekhyun placed one last soft kiss onto his head before the two made their way to get some cake~

Chen grinned widely into his pillow, knowing he couldn't contain his happiness. He just couldn't believe his boyfriend did all this for him..
Yeah. His boyfriend. And his only.
Chen liked the sound of it, he thought as he was still staring at the card that he will always treasure.
