Chapter 16

They all were fighting and I was standing here doing nothing. I can't be useless. I decided to run to the kitchen and grab two knifes. I came back and while Sasori was distracted I stabbed him as hard as I could in the rib.

"Gahhh!" He screamed in pain as the crimson blood dripped out of his wound.

"Sasori!" Deidara yelled looking at his partner struggle.

Naruto took advantage and punched Deidara as hard as he could knocking him out cold. Sasori was still screaming in pain. I heard neighbors rustling through the thin walls.

I looked out the window to see flashing blue and red lights. The police had arrived and we're heading our way. They ran through the door and pointed their guns at everyone. We all out our hands up and I dropped the knife.

They immediately recognized the two people on the ground as Sasori and Deidara of the Akatsuki. Which was like the biggest gang in our small little town of Konoha. They put them in handcuffs and shoved them in a police car.

They asked us to come in for questioning and we did. After answering all their questions there was one I wanted to ask Naruto. When we were all free from the police station there stood Neji. His face looked full of anger.

"Hinata Hyuuga!" He called out as I acted as if I didn't hear him.

I shuffled around Sasuke and Naruto avoiding eye contact with Neji trying to sneak away. He ran up and caught my wrist.

"Ugh let go!" I yelled struggling under his grip.

"You're in big trouble why can't you grow up? Can't you act your age for once?! Your childhood is over time for you to start acting like an adult!" Neji said which made me realize something.

I didn't really have a childhood to begin with. My father always pressured me to be the best. I would practice and practice for so many years of my childhgood. Any spare time I did spend with Naruto and Sasuke. Neji really didn't have a good childhood either.

In fact his was probably worse than kind I mean he trained his butt if 24/7 and then his father died. He lived with us and trained even more thanks to my wicked father. He didn't even have friends. Wow ok deep.

"I didn't have a childhood to begin with." I said straight into his fierce eyes.

"What are you talking about?" He asked as we got into the car.

"I mean I was always training so I never got to do the things that other kids got to do." I said barley audible.

Neji already drove off on the road home. He didn't say anything.

"Also I noticed that you didn't either." I added looking out the window.

I saw him get a little uncomfortable do I decided to stop taking about it and just be quite.

After a couple of minutes Neji spoke.

"You're right Hinata.." Neji says in a whisper voice.

I could hear him though since it was dead silent in the car.

I didn't sat anything after that and neither did he. When we arrived at home I we've straight to my room and took a shower. I came in and changed into my pj's. I tried to fall asleep but I was afraid to dream.. I- I didn't want anything horrible to come true again..

I managed to fall asleep and when I woke up I noticed it really sunny this morning. Only it wasn't morning it was 1:00 in the flippin afternoon! I looked around wondering if this was a dream or reality because I would never be late.

I looked at everything suspiciously trying to figure out if it was a dream or not. I looked down and pinched myself.

"Ow!" Okay maybe I'm just being a complete idiot and I just woke up late.

I have completely missed half of school so I went downstairs. I saw no one there of course because Neji's at work and Hinabi's at school. I opened the fridge and grabbed the milk. Then opened the cabinet to grab some off brand lucky charms. I made a bowl of cereal and then watched tv. Honestly it's been awhile since I've had a chill day to myself. I smiled as I sat back and let out a sigh.

As I finished I walked back into my room and crawled under the covers. I dug around trying to find my tv remote and finally found it after 20 minutes. I adjusted my pillow and turned on a Netflix movie while eating potato chips. I dozed off during the movie and then eventually fell asleep taking a little nap.

I looked over at the clock noticing school was over and Hinabi's probably on her way home. I stayed in my bed not wanting to move when the door swung open. I was so startled I fell onto the floor. All I saw was two people.

"Hinata where were you?!" Said that voice that knew so well.

I poked me head up to see Naruto looking at me with fire in his eyes. Sasuke was beside him already taking a seat.

"Well ya see uhh....I woke up late." I said kind of embarrassed because it's not like me.

"What?" Naruto looked at me I noticed even Sasuke had slight emotion on his face.

"You loser." Sasuke said shaking his head which I threw a potato chip at.

He scratched his head mumbling to himself while fixing his his duck booty hair.

They both stopped and looked at me as if they had seen a ghost or something.
"What?" I asked looking around.

They're faces started to turn into smiles and they bursted out laughing for no reason.

"What?!" I yelled looking at both of them especially Sasuke I couldn't believe he was laughing.

"You have potato chip stuck all over you!!" Naruto shouted holding his stomach pouting at me.

I was annoyed at this point so I just crawled under me covers and at a loose chip that found its way under my sheets.
