Valduggery Love

(Takes place after Dying Light.) Hope u guys enjoy it! It's my first fanfic, so go easy on me!

Skulduggery stood at the entrance of Valkyrie's favourite restaurant. The expression on his facade showed he was nervous. He adjusted his tie and his cuffs nervously, awaiting his lady.

Flashback/

Skulduggery had longed wished to admit his true feelings for Valkyrie, but was uncertain if she would feel the same way towards him. He phoned his best friend, Ghastly Bespoke.
"Skul? What do you want? Another hat? I swear. You ha-"
"No. That's not why I called. Listen, can I come over to your place? Like right now. It's about Valkyrie. I need your advice." He heard Ghastly sighed at the other end of the receiver.
"Alright."

Meanwhile, Valkyrie had been in her room at the Gordon estate thinking of Skulduggery. For the period of time she had spent with him on all those adventures, she had developed certain feelings for him. She had no idea on how to tell him and was scared that he wouldn't feel the same about her.
Picking up her phone, she dialled the one person she would think would help her. There was a few rings before a voice answered.
"Hey, Tanith."
"Val? How have ya been? Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. I need your help on a topic I feel that needs discussing at your place?"
"Sure thing. Anything for my best friend."

Skulduggery pulled over the Bently outside Bespoke Tailors. He rang the doorbell and Ghastly opened the door to let him in.
"What seems to be the trouble?" Ghastly asked as he took a chair to sit down on. Skulduggery rested on the couch and looked at him. "It's Valkyrie. I love her. She's so beautiful and I wanna ask her to marry me on a date I plan to ask her out on tomorrow. What should I do? I'm afraid she doesn't feel the same for me. I love her Ghastly."
It had been two hundred years since he'd seen Skulduggery this in love. Skulduggery had been mourning the loss of his family for over two centuries now. It would be a good thing for him to move on and love again.
He placed a hand on Skulduggery who had his head buried in his hands. "Listen, Skul. You love her. And I'm pretty sure she loves you. Marry her. It's the right thing to do."
Skuldugerry titled his head, and Ghastly was pretty sure if he had a real face a smile would be playing on his lips right now. "I will."

Valkyrie sat on a chair in Tanith's apartment. "Val. Is something the matter?" Tanith sat on the chair opposite her. "Nothing bad. It's just. I love Skul. He's brave, kind and has a huge ego, and I love him for it. I want to confess my feelings to him but I don't know if he'll feel for me too. I love him. What should I do?" Valkyrie said.
Tanith smiled tenderly and lifted Valkyrie's chin gently. "Val. Men are unpredictable. It's normal to love someone and worry about him not loving you back. We all fall in love at some point in our lives. Ghastly and I love each other and I had also felt the same way. I was so uncertain he didn't love me back the way I loved him. Skulduggery is a wonderful man, and I'm certain he loves you. I mean, both of you have been dropping obvious hints when we were together. It was obvious that you two would love each other considering the time you've spent together on those cases. What I'm saying is, he'll be the one for you. I'm sure of it."
Valkyrie smiled and thanked her.

End of flashback/

When Valkyrie arrived, Skulduggery's jaw literally dropped. He felt as if he was staring at an angel. Valkyrie's Black Liqourish dress gleamed under the lights. The way her body moved was breathtaking for him as he watched her silky black hair sway about as she moved. He had never seen her look so astonishingly beautiful and didn't think it would have even been possible for her to get any more beautiful.
"Val. You look beautiful." They entered the restaurant and after the romantic music and scrumptious dinner (for Valkyrie), he got up from his seat and kneeled down on one leg. "Valkyrie Cain. I have loved you on during all the times we have spent together. Every moment with you is like a precious memory I have treasured with all my heart. You are beautiful, brave and strong. Kind and smart, and I love you for it. I don't think I would be able to continue living on without you in my life." He produced a velvet box and popped open the lid. In it sat a beautiful wedding ring with the words 'Until the end' engraved onto it. " Valkyrie Cain. Will you marry me?"
His heart pounded a million miles per hour when she said, "Yes."
Valkyrie slipped on the ring and kissed him passionately. The crowd around them could be heard cheering and both knew that they were meant for each other.
