Aerlinniel POV
I drop to my knees as tears stream down my face. Why? Why did this have to happen? Gandalf means everything to me. I cannot loose him, not now.
I hear talking but do not pay attention to what anyone is saying until Legolas speaks.
"Aerlinniel, we have to get going." He tells me while helping me stand back up.
I go to walk towards Aragorn, but instead wrap my arms around Legolas and sob into his chest. He wraps his arms around me and gently rubs my back which helps me calm down.
I step back and whisper, "Hannon lle. (Thank you.)"
I try to smile at him, but fail. Legolas then surprises me by linking his arm with mine.
"Lle creoso. (You're welcome.) I will stand next to you as we walk, for I do not want you to feel lonely. Unless you would rather be left alone." He says to me, this makes me give a small smile.
"No, I am grateful for your company." I tell him as we start walking, arm in arm, following the others.
~~~
We have been walking for a while, we are now in the Forest of Lothlórien. Legolas still is walking next to me, his arm still linked with mine. We haven't said any thing to each other, but I already feel better from him just standing next to me.
"Stay close young hobbits. They say there's a great sorceress lives in these woods. An Elf-witch of terrible power. All who look upon her fall under her spell and are never seen again." Gimli tells the Hobbits.
"Mr. Frodo?" I hear Sam say his name but Frodo doesn't reply.
"Well! Here's one Dwarf she won't ensnare so easily! I have the eyes of a hawk, and ears of a fox!" When Gimli says this, I hear heartbeats that I do not recognise. I am about to say something but don't get the chance. "Oh!"
"The dwarf breathes so loud, we could have shot him in the dark." An Ellon states.
We are led a bit away and Aragorn and Legolas speak to the Ellon."Mae govannen, Legolas Thranduilion. (Welcome Legolas, son of Thranduil.)" The Ellon greets Legolas, I am missing his company.
"Govannas vín gwennen le, Haldir o Lórien. (Our Fellowship stands in your debt, Haldir of Lórien.)" Aragorn tells him.
"A, Aragorn in Dûnedain istannen le ammen. (Oh, Aragorn of the Dûnedain, you are known to us.)"
"Haldir." Aragorn says. So, the Ellon's name is Haldir."So much for the legendary courtesy of the Elves! Speak words we can also understand!" Gimli exclaims, angrily.
"We have not had dealings with the Dwarves, since the dark days." Haldir mentions.
"And do you know what this Dwarf says to that? Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul! (I spit upon your grave!)" Gimli shouts at him.
"That! was not so courteous!" Aragorn scolds him.
"You bring great evil with you. You can go no further!" Haldir tells us.Aragorn pulls Haldir away and they start to whisper. I cannot tell what they are saying.
"Gandalf's death was not in vain. Nor would he have you give up hope You carry a heavy burden Frodo. Don't carry the weight of the dead." Boromir tells Frodo.
"You will follow me."
I know its a bit shorter than usual, but I have big plans for the next chapter! How did you like the cute Leginniel part? I had so much fun writing it! Updates are every Sunday and Thursday!
