Heads Up for the New Years Pt. 3

We had just finished our meal.
"Do u guys want dessert?", Kevin asked us.
Daniel smirked at me. 😏😏😏
"No!", I yelled quickly.
Everyone just looked at me in confusion.
"I mean...I'm just full & really tired. Let's just go watch the ball drop now so that we can go back to the hotel afterwards.", I said standing up.
"Ok?......", Lexi said getting up as well.

Devin tipped the waiter & headed outside to call the uber to take us to Times Square.
I watch him walk off.
Damn....Dev's really been wasting his money today.
I put on my coat & started heading outside along with Erika & Mariah.

(10 Minutes Later)

After 2,000,0000,0000000 years of waiting (10 minutes) the uber finally came.

(Skip Car Ride)

We finally arrived at the building.
It wasn't high-class....but more like a beat-down building.
But it look like it had a great view of the whole of New York.

"It may not look that stable but, this used to be an apartment building.", Devin said as we all followed behind him & taking the elevator.
"Now, it's just a community center for old folks, but at least they have an amazing view.", he continued as we got off the elevator & heading to the rooftop.
He opened the door & we spotted all of New York from here.
Wow! It is beautiful.....
I kept admiring the view of the night sky.

The lights of the city is gorgeous.....it's spreads all the way across & aluminates the night sky.........

Shari pulled out her phone.
"Just 5 more minutes 'till midnight." , she said.

I sighed & saw Joshua standing by himself looking up on the edge of the roof.
I walk towards him with my hands in my pockets.
"Hey.", i said.
"Hey.", he replies.
"So.....New Years.....hope we start off with a good year.", I said.
"Yeah....we should leave all the drama all these years have brought us & start of fresh.", he says looking at me.
"Ok....than can I ask u a question?", I asked.
"Yeah, sure."
"Would u still like me....even if I don't choose u?", I asked.
"Yes....I'll still like u. But, I'm not going to force u to date me....and if we stay friends, at least I'll be happy knowing that u are with a guy who'll protect u....though I still don't know why u keep up those two.", he states.

I stare at the sky than look over to Daniel & Kevin dancing like little kids.
"Because.....they're real.", I said showing a mini smile.
No matter what they do.....they'll always be the realest people I know.....and love.......
Joshua smiles than starts to walk away.

"Well, one more minute left! Let's get ready for the countdown!", he said cheerfully.
"Ok...I'm coming.", I said smiling a bit.

I turn around towards the night sky as the wind blows my hair in every direction.
Real......yeah, that's it.
I smile then walk towards the group.

"Ok! Let's start counting down in 10, 9-", Lexi started as we all joined.

I could hear the whole of New York count down as I we all look at the ball dropping slowly.
Almost there.....a new year will be born in.......

"5...4...3...2...1-"

Suddenly....Daniel got down on his knees as everyone stopped counting in unison.

I tuned out the cheers from the crowd below as all the color from my face starts to fade away as we all looked at him..........
