I am pulled & carried off the ground by Kevin.
I was actually quite surprised that he could carry me without losing his balance & falling & bust his skull open.

I was in so much shock that I didn't even notice that the ambulance was already sounding its lights off in the distance.
I predict that his family is inside the ambulance truck because the only people in the area were, Erika, Kevin, Joshua, Lexi, Shari, Azariah, Renee, Jakeline, & Devin.

Kevin put me down in the front seat of his car.
"We're gonna go to the hospital now, hold tight.", he stated closing the door.

I looked at the little mirror & noticed that I also stopped crying too. I touched my face & felt dried up tears everywhere.

I was so paralyzed that by the time I snapped back into reality everyone was already in the car.
They all buckled up & started heading up to the hospital.
They whole ride there, I was looking up at the night sky through the window.
It was raining........
Please..........rain........help me get through this.....help him get through this...........

(5 minutes later)

"Ok. We're here.", Kevin said unbuckling his seatbelt.
But before anyone can even move a muscle, I open the car door, didn't even close it & was already running towards the ambulance truck that took Daniel.
It took everyone by surprise & they all went after me.

I stopped & didn't see Daniel in there.
I ran to the front entrance of the hospital & went right inside.
I turned my head everywhere to try & spot Mariah or his parents or brothers.
I finally saw them & Daniel in a long stretcher as the nurses were quickly about to push him through the huge pair of automatic doors.

I ran towards that stretcher so fast I thought I could win a 2-mile marathon.
My arm tips touched the stretcher & I started tearing up as I caressed Daniel head.
"M'am, please let go. We need to take him quickly to the emergency room.", a nurse guy said.
"No! I won't leave him!", I screamed.

I saw Kevin running towards me & grabbing my waist so that I can let go.
He managed to succeed & they went off with the stretcher.
I screamed & screamed as those automatic doors closed on me.

I hit & punched & screamed on Kevin's chest but he kept hugging me tight while his head was resting on mines.

After a while, I just gave up & cried weakly in his arms as he kept whispering in my ear that everything was gonna be ok.

(2 Hours Later)

Everyone waited impatiently for the news to come.
Shari, Lexi, Renee, & Joshua went out & came back to get some coffee for all of us to stay awake.

Finally, the doctor came outta the room & threw away his gloves as him & the nurse with the clipboard came up to us.
Daniel's mom & I were the first ones who got up quickly.
"How is he? Is my son ok?😰", Nicole asked worried about her son.
"Daniel is ok.", the doctor exclaimed.
We all sighed in relief.
"But, he is lucky to be alive. He will need a week's rest before doing any activities. But we'll need for him to stay overnight if that's ok. He is in room 307.", the doctor said.
"Oh, thank you!😄", Nicole said before her, Daniel's father, brothers, & sister went into the room to go visit him.

I just stood there clutching my sweater mainly my heart.
He's ok......he's ok.......
I sat down.
"Do you wanna go in there after them?", Joshua asked.
"No....I rather everyone else go in there first....I wanna be the last one.", I said.
They all nodded as we waited for the family to come out the room.
