Levi's POV

You know how there's always kids out there who don't want to go to school and try everyday to somehow get out of it? Right now I seriously wish Jason was one of those types of kids.

"What if the exponent is on the numerator? Do you still have to divide it first or work the multiplication out first before dividing it?" he asked, keeping his eyes on the textbook while chewing on a pencil.

For a thirteen-year old boy, he's really enjoying math way too much.

"You want some blood or something?" I asked instead, trying to get him off topic.

He shook his head still focused on the book. "No I drank earlier. Wait what if the exponent is-"

"Listen Jason, how much do you really like math?" I questioned, staring at him curiously.

"It's really great. The best thing about it is that no matter how messy the problem is at first, there's always a solution to it. Minus the fact that some linear equations have no solutions at all. However, I do have a theory that-" At that point I tuned him out and stared at the textbook. Jason is really smart, way too smart for his own good. I wasn't really sure if he has always been this smart and curious or if it was something that came from being a vampire.

After a long discussion, most of the protests being from Braska, Jason was finally turned on his thirteenth birthday. According to the idiot Braydon it was apparently the 'perfect gift for becoming a teenager'. Yeah most kids get a video game on their thirteenth birthday, Jason got a pair of fangs. How lovely.

Unlike Braska, Jason took becoming a vampire rather well. It was probably due to living with us for such a long time that he adjusted so quickly. I think his sister is angry that he's taking it better than she thought he would but hey I wasn't complaining. I had to teach this kid subjects that I don't even know squat about, it's better if I also don't have to deal with him not wanting to become a vampire.

"Levi are you listening to me?" he asked, snapping me out of my trance. Geez this kid talked that long?

Nonetheless, I nodded. "Yeah, and I agree. That theory does seem like a very smart theory to theorize," I said, hoping it made me sound smarter than I actually was.

"Levi I was asking if we could switch over to history now."

Oh.

"You know what, school is suppose to be over by now. You've already had your hours," I said, getting up.

"But it's only been two hours-"

"Let me be honest with you," I said, bending down to his level. "Braska, she misses you man. She's always running around with Sabrina or Layton that she hasn't been spending time with you. I think it'll really do her some good if you pay her a visit," I told him.

He nodded thoughtfully. "Really? I didn't know she missed me that much. I'll go visit her right now. Thanks Levi!" he shouted, before running towards the office room.

I sighed and picked up the history textbook. Might as well read this so I'd have some idea of what I'm going to be teaching tomorrow.

Nebraska's point of view

"How's it going?" I asked, biting my lip in anticipation. I watched Brandon and Drew hang the huge banner across the room that says 'Happy Birthday' on it with big letters.

"Fine, the idiot doesn't suspect a thing," Braydon replied, while I heard some rustling from his end. "Anyways when do you want him home?"

"Make sure he doesn't come home until midnight," I said, when the doorbell rang. I hung up the phone and ran to the door and opened it. "Welcome!" I said, giving a fake smile at the random strangers who were in the door. I turned to Drew to see if they really were his relatives and only when he nodded was when I opened the door fully to let them in.
