Jungkook didn't feel like going home right away. He decided to stop by a little cafe and buy himself a coffee. He sat down at a seat next to the window. After a few minutes, the cashier person called out his name. "Coffee for Jungkook!" He got up and paid for the drink and sat back down at his seat.
He was half-way finished with the coffee when a boy came in and approached him. "Hey.. Can I sit here? If it's okay... I don't really feel comfortable sitting with anyone else here." Jungkook looks around to see the seats are filled almost. "Yeah, go ahead," his voice low. The boy sat down and opened up a notebook. Jungkook watched him write in it for a bit. "So.. What's wrong? Why do you look so sad?" Jungkook stopped and looked at the boy in the face.
"Oh.. It's hard to explain." The boy smiled, "I have time." Jungkook sighs and tells him, "My old friend.. Best friend doesn't remember me. He moved next door to me and I went to greet him. He has no clue who I am and probably thinks I'm a creep." The boy nods his head, "Maybe it's something else.. Maybe he actually does remember you. I think he just was scared and made that up so he could have more time away from you. He feels weird just seeing you again and being friends again. Or maybe he actually forgot. That he had something happen to him." Jungkook sighed and finished his coffee.
He got up, "I should go... Nice talking to you, I guess." The boy stopped him, "What's your name? Mine's Jin." Jungkook stopped, "My name is Jungkook." Jungkook leaves the cafe and begins his journey home. He walked quite a bit to get there and now he had to walk back.

He got home and was greeted to an empty house. He sat down on the couch and watched some TV until his dad came home. "Hey, where's your mom?" Jungkook shrugs, "I dunno." Mr. Jeon sighs and dials her number. "Where are you?.... OH, okay. I'll tell him." He hung up and looked at his only son. "Your mom is at the neighbors'. She wants you to come over there." Jungkook sighs and gets up off the couch.
He walks over to the neighbors' and knocks on the door. Mrs. Kim answers and smiles at him, "Come in." He walks in and takes a seat next to his mother. "Jungkook, Mrs. Kim has something very important to tell you." Jungkook sighs and looks towards the woman.
"So, Jungkook. I meant to tell you this yesterday when I first saw you, but I was excited to see you and Taehyung meet after this long. I forgot. So um.. After we moved, we didn't call or anything right away because we didn't have a phone. So... Taehyung and his father went out to go buy one. (Cell phones were very expensive) I stayed at the house to clean up a bit more."
She took a breath, "On their w-way there... There was a drunk driver in a truck. Taehyung and his father didn't see it coming and it hit them. My husband died, and Tae almost did too. Luckily, the paramedics got there on time and saved him. He lost his memory. It comes back to him every once in a while but it goes away too." Her eyes were puffy now as tears streamed down her face. Just then, Taehyung walked in from his bedroom. "J-Jungkook? Is that you?" Jungkook thought about what Mrs. Kim said.
He got up, "It is." Taehyung smiled and hugged him, "It's been so long since I've seen you.. I missed you Kookie." His mom cried even more which made Jungkook's heart break a bit. The poor woman had to deal with so much. Jungkook was almost crying too.
Taehyung yawned, "Mom? Why are you crying?" She smiled at him, "No reason, sweetie." The two boys talked about all the things that happened between their meetings while eating leftover cake.
Taehyung did lose his memory every once in a while, but Jungkook got used to it and took care of him. The two went to high school and graduated. They moved in together in college and found their love for each other. They got out of college and got house in the neighborhood they grew up together in. Soon they were married and adopted two children, a boy and girl. They had their arguments and their fights, but they always made up and stayed with one another.
