Chapter 21: I know it was you

"Why you must do this Hamal" Merak said backing up away from Hamal. "I through you wanted to bring good to this world not watch it burn." 

"You truly don't understand Merak" Hamal said calmly. "I'm still your friend, it just something is going on you need to believe."

"I don't know if I can trust after what you made me do what I did to Sapphire!" Merak tried to hold back tears.

"Something have taken over me and I dont trust anyone right now. It hard to understand right now." Hamal tried to stay calm.

"I knew something was up with you the moment we got back from the cafe." Merak couldn't hold back the tears. "now it all clear, your phone keeps going off, you staying back to check, you just in the dorm when we return just sitting there. I know the true Hamal his phone hardly went off, and if he was with his friends he wouldn't even brother to check. and when we would return the true Hamal would be doing something."

"Okay, look I don't what I can do about this but if you know what is good for you get yourself Acrab and Izar out of here I don't want you getting hurt."

"And what about Team Gems?!? They're are our friends!"

"This is more then what meet the eyes, And I'm sorry I afraid you cant leave with them. Look this isn't our fight, it's their"

"Listen here you.. you, I don't know even know what to call you anymore, I promise no matter I would always be there for Sapphire. ... Wait Sapphire oh man she must be so mad at me right now I need to make it up to her." Merak dashed rigth past Hamal. 

Beep Beep Hamal's phone going off again. "Progress report" it was from Mercury.

"A little slip up but I can bounce from it" Hamal sends backs.

"Why would Merak just do something like that to me" Sapphire cried in the comforting arms of her team. "I thought he loved me"

"Guys can be jerks" Topaz said. "you need to let him go."

Emerald stood up just to put things together. "I dont think Merak meant to do it."

Ruby and Topaz both got up from the bed. "What do you mean?" Ruby asked.

"We been friends with Team Star since out first year, no of them did anything like that before" Emerald explained. "someone must have controlled him to do such a thing."

"That seem too wrong there was no one else around beside us and Team Star." Ruby said.

"Like I said I dont think he did but just to be safe we need to keep our distance from them."

Knock Knock. "Hey can I come in There something I need to said." Merak said.

"No, not after what you did to Sapphire!" Topaz yelled.

"Ok, just let her know that I will keep my promise." Merak said as walk away from the dorm almost in tears again.

That night Merak quietly leads Izar and Acrab to the room in which the tape of the security camera  was and show them the part when Hamal use his magic to fool everyone to think that Merak hurt her with the frost magic. "You were right Merak" Izar said shocked knowing that his leader was evil. Hamal saw what Merak did. His sent a message to Mercury saying: "My teams know our plans, but I gotten to the part where the Gems won't speak to us."

"get your team away from the building, I shall come around noon tomorrow" Mercury send back.
