Dipper's (POV)

I ran out of the dressing room, and went to look for Mabel. It didn't take long. I find her sitting by herself by the soda bar. She sees me and smiles, before speaking up.

"Hey bro, how did it go with Wendy?" She asks kind heartedly. I ran up to her and spoke up frantic.

"Mabel, I discovered that Wendy stole some jewels, and tried to arrest her,  but she got away! I need your help to catch her!" I explain to my sister.

"Woah what?!  You mean she stole the jewelry at the museum?"

"No, but she did steal jewelry from other places, and even though she didn't rob the museum I think she has something to do with the museum robbery."

"Well then, let's go catch her!" Mabel gets up from her seat, and we ran out of the club in search of our little robber. We ran down the street, looking in all directions but found nothing. I then hear what sounded like chains falling to the ground. I follow the sound, and Mabel follows me. I then see Wendy talking to a boy. 'Must be her boyfriend'. I thought. I grabbed Mabel and pushed our back up against a building so they couldn't see us. Me and my sister just stood there watching them, until I saw Wendy pull gun on the boy! This made me sweat, knowing that she has a gun was nerve racking.

When she put her gun away, I still felt a little uneasy. I mean, as I cop I get a gun too, but there is still a risk of getting shot if the suspect has a gun as well. The best thing a cop can do is convince the suspect to put the gun down, and make the arrest. But I don't know if convincing will work on Wendy or not. When her boyfriend walked away, Wendy started down the road again. That's when we made our move.

"Come on Mabel, let's move!" I whisper to her. She nods and I pull out my gun. I then start running after Wendy and yelled.

"Put your hands where I can see them!" She turns around and sees me. Her face fell and she's start to run. I chase after her with Mabel not far behind. I grunt and came up with a plan.

"Mabel, you go ahead! See if you can cut her off!" I yelled to my sister.

"On it bro!" She then runs in a other direction, and I continue to chase Wendy. I then see her pull out her gun, and I gulped. I cocked my gun, getting ready for whatever she had planned. She pointed her gun at me, and I took a deep breath. I pulled my trigger.

*BANG*

I shot the gun right out of her hand. With her unarmed, she made a turn into an alley way. Dead end. She is faced with a huge, tall, brick wall in front of her and me behind her with a gun in my hands.

"End of the line, Wendy! There's no where else to run!"

"That's what you think!" She then tries to run past me, but I push her away. I then see that she has another gun in her hand. I felt my side and noticed that my spear gun was missing, she took it. She cocks the gun and points it at me.

"I'm not going down just yet, you hear me? I've been doing this since I was ten, just a child! If you think I'll go down without a fight, think again!" She yells at me. I point my gun at her, but something told me not to shoot. I sigh and spoke up.

"Wendy, you don't have to do this. I know because I did some bad things when I was younger too."

"What? You stole another kid's lunch money or something?"

"No Wendy, I stole jewelry from other people, I took money from others, and I even got into fights. But I stopped that a long time ago when I realized it was wrong. I decided that it was time to do good. Look inside yourself Wendy, do you really want to be in a life of crime?" I asked her half heartedly.

"It's the only life I know! My life was taken from me, my family, my job, everything! All I have left is my boyfriend and this life of crime! You have your sister and family, I don't have any of that. At least, not anymore..." I suddenly felt a sense of sorrow for Wendy. I had a feeling that if she could choose a better life she would. This gave me an idea.

"Wendy, if you help me with this case, I can clear your name. You can walk away a free woman, or you can forever be alone in this life of crime."
She lowered her gun and spoke up again.

"Wait, so you mean if I help you, I won't have any charges? I can just walk away?" She asked me.

"Yes Wendy, I maybe new to being a cop, but I doubt the other cops will notice if I clear your record. All you have to do is help me."

"But why would you do that for me?" She asks me.

"Because I believe that everyone deserves a second chance." I smile at her. She lowers her gun completely and falls to her knees. I walk up to her and put my hand on her shoulder. She sighs and spoke up again.

"Alright, I'll help you. But only because I don't want any more charges on my record."

"Give me the gun, Wendy." She hesitates for a second and hands me the gun. I smiled at her, and she smiles back. I then pull a plastic police badge out of my pocket, and pin it to Wendy's shirt.

"I now pronounce you, a temporary cop." She laughs at the name and I heard footsteps.

"There you are Dipper, I've been looking for you!" Mabel shouts.

"Sorry Mabel, but listen Wendy agreed to help us, so we can't arrest her. Understand?" I ask her.

"You got it Dipping sauce!" She smiles.

"Dipping sauce?" Wendy laughs. I roll my eyes and spoke up.

"Alright then, Wendy if your going to help us, I'm going to need to investigate your home. Maybe something there can give us an idea of who did this." I explained.

"Wait, why there? Why not the museum?"

"Because you're a criminal and it takes a criminal to catch a criminal. So maybe something of yours can help." She sighs before agreeing.

"Alright, come on." Wendy leads the way as Mabel whispers to me.

"Do you really think we can trust her?" She whispered.

"Not completely, but everyone deserves a second chance." I explained. Mabel nodded and the three of us walked down the street to Wendy's home.
