Dipper's (POV)
When I got to the hospital to see Wendy, I had good news to share with her. When I got to her room, she was fast asleep. Most of her bandages were gone, meaning she was healing up fast. The thought of Wendy getting better fast, made me smile ear to ear. I go up to her bed, and gently shake her to wake up.
"Wendy, wake up I have great news for you." I whisper to her. She moans sleepy, and opens her eyes.
"Ugh, hey Dipper, what's up?" She asked tired.
"Well, I have great news for you."
"And what's that?"
"Well, I talked to Blubs and he was able to clear your criminal record. You're now a free woman, able to do whatever you want. You don't have to be on the run anymore." I smiled.
"That's great! But..." She stops.
"But what?"
"Well, I actually had fun helping you solve the case. And I was wondering, if you and Mabel needed another partner." She shrugged. I could only smile at her.
"Well, Blubs did say he was hiring."
"Tell him that he just got a new recruit." She smiled. I nodded and hugged her.
"How are you feeling?" I asked concerned.
"Much better now." She smiled. I nodded and hugged her tight. A few weeks later, Wendy was discharged from the hospital, which was great news for me and Mabel. Blubs even said that if she was well enough, Wendy could be apart to the police force. Even though Blubs told me and Mabel that we could quit now since the case was over, but we decided to stay, and solve more crimes. So when the time came we all decided to properly welcome Wendy into the force.
Me, Mabel, and Wendy were all standing on the police station stage, outside of the station for all the town to see. Wendy had her hair up in a pony tail, and a new police outfit Blubs gave her. Everyone in town showed up, even the outlaws, that tried to stay hidden within the crowd. Blubs was the first to speak.
"Wendy Corduroy, for your help in solving the jewel thief case, I am honored to present to you, this badge to show that you are now a member of this police force. Congratulations Wendy. I mean, Detective Corduroy." He than placed a real police badge on Wendy's shirt. Me and Mabel and all of the towns people, clapped and cheered for her. And I could have sworn I saw her wiping a tear away from her eye. I was the next one to speak.
"It is also my honor to have Wendy as my partner in crime along with my sister Mabel. And I must say, we couldn't have done this without you, Wendy." I then hug her tight. Mabel soon joined and we all had a group hug. Everyone clapped and cheered again for all of us, it was a great day.
Wendy soon walked off the stage to see her outlaw friends that were waiting for her."Lee, Nate, Tambry, Thompson, thank you guys for everything, but I think I'll be happier as a cop." She smiled.
"Well, we can't say we won't miss you, Wendy. It was fun thieving with you." Tambry smiled back.
"Yeah it was. But you do realize that now that I'm a cop, the next time I see you guys, I'll have to arrest you." Wendy smirked.
"And we'll be looking forward to trying to outrun you." Nate laughed. They all shared a laugh before the gang ran off to probably rob a bank. I walk up to Wendy and spoke up.
"Come on, Wendy we have work to do!"
"Right behind you." She smiled at me. I smiled back and took her hand. She kissed my cheek and we went to find Mabel, and get to work once again.
