Around 2006-ish, they released a new album titled Welcome to the Black Parade. This album causes every emo, both current and former, to cry so hard when ever they hear the G note on the piano. It's been ten years and I cry still (even though I literally discovered the band just months after they broke up.)

Mikey got rid of his glasses and cut his hair and dyed it black as my soul, Gerard cut all of his hair off and bleached it white, Ray's fro got longer, and Frank cut his hair off and it was black because he's Italian.

This album contains approximately seventeen songs, making it probably their longest album. (It was almost a double album. I'm pretty sure I heard that somewhere) These songs include...
1. The End.
2. Dead!
3. This Is How I Disappear
4. The Sharpest Lives
5. Welcome to the Black Parade
6. I Don't Love You
7. House of Wolves
8. Cancer
9. Mama
10. Sleep
11. Teenagers
12. Disenchanted
13. Famous Last Words
14. Blood (hidden track)
15. My Way Home Is Through You
16. Kill All Your Friends
17. Heaven Help Us

This album is about The Patient and his transition from living to dying.

Teenagers was written when Gerard was on a subway and a bunch of rowdy teenagers (God that makes me sound old) were causing him to nearly have a panic attack, so he wrote that beauty. Teenagers was also the first MCR song I've heard (except WTTBP BC my mom said she used to listen to it, but I have zero memory of that. Basically, Teenagers turned me emo. Kinda.)

This album is absolutely great and if you have never listened to it, you should stop reading this, turn it on and listen to it as you read. The tears are definitely worth it.

This past September was the ten year anniversary of The Black Parade and MCRX was released. It had a bunch of stuff on it that I am yet to see/hear. It made all emos, both prior and former, go full emo because everyone thought it was MCR getting back together, but that wasn't the case and we all cried again.
