Foxden: Complications

Nick (POV)

I stood in the middle of City hall, my Defensores gear taken away. I was cuffed and flanked by two grizzlies who had shotguns aimed at my back. All of the civilians kept looking between me and the grizzlies. Although they weren't on trial they were all uncomfortable. I however appeared calm and cool, I held my head high and stood with a straight bakc. Silvio entered from the back of the room, wearing a silver colored suit. His fur well washed and groomed to a sleek look. He took his place on an elevated podium looking down at me with hateful eyes.

"People of Foxden!" Silvio shouted getting everyone's attention. "We are here on an account of treason from a Cursoribus! The Elders warriors! He lie-"

Silvio got no father than that as he was interrupted by me. Although my voice was not a scream like Silvio's it still carried out to all of the assembled townsfolk.

"I did not lie Silvio." I said my was low and had a dangerous edge to it. One of the grizzlies coked his shotgun and was met with my fierce gaze. I looked up at the larger beast. The grizzly held my gaze for a while but quickly dropped it lowering his shotgun in the process.

"You lied once more!" Silvio shouted ignoring my display with the guard. "You said the attack force would not arrive for three days! And we were attacked last night."

"Listen to youself you incompetent idiot!" I said bringing my left hand up to the side of my head. "I said the large. Emphasis on large! Force is suppose consists of a few hundred Beute. Heavy artillery and air support. If that was the Large force we would all be dead." I turned and tossed the handcuffs to the surprised guard behind me. "Use something else next time. I've unlocked and relocked that thing like twenty times."

"How?" Silvio asked his voice now a reasonable volume.

"Cursoribus remember?" I answered his question with my own question. "We're taught this stuff on the first month of training. Forget about it," I said waving my right hand dismissively. "You need to continue the evacuation. We've already wasted one day. Two days left before the Large force hits." I turned to the crowd raising my voice slightly so everyone could hear me. "Head home and pack whatever you need. I want this town empty by tonight." Quickly the town left the building rushing to their homes and started packing up. I looked around and noticed two wolves by the doors. "You two!" I called out to them. "Grab some troops and start packing up as many supplies as possible. Silvio, go pack your things."

They both nodded their understanding and hurried out of the building heading to the storage building. Collecting a few guards on the way. I looked over at Silvio seeing a look of dibelife plastered on his face.

"I am the Baron." he said his voice was low but it quickly gained volume. "You do not order me around!" he shouted, his was rigid and deep. "You are a Cursoribus! You are lower than me!"

I looked at Silvio, making sure that my face was completely blank. I stared at Silvio for a full minute and I could tell that he was becoming uncomfortable. I waited until Silvio dropped his gaze before I spoke again.

"Silvio you fucking idiot" I cursed pinching the bridge between my eyes. "Cursoribi are the higher rank than you Barons. We're close to the Elder!" I said throwing my hands up for affect. "Even an apprentice can outrank you." I walked up to Silvio as menacingly as possible. I noticed that none of the guards tried to stop me. Once I reached Silvio I grabbed him by the collar of his suit, to which he protested.

"Careful!" he cried trying to save his suit. "This suit is very expensive! Its a hundred percent Kashmir."

I jerked Silvio up into the air harshly, he continued to protest demanding to be put down. "Shut it!" I barked at him and he fell silent, flinching at the harshness of my voice. "You are no longer in charge. I will lead. From now on you are a civilian. Is that clear?" Silvio's face had become ghastly pale once what I said sunk in. His eyes were wide with shock and fear and his mouth was gaping. Moving wordlessly looking like a fish out of water desperately trying to breathe in some water. "Is that clear?!" I asked more forcefully.

"Y-yes." he squeaked out, a look of fear in his eyes. I let go of him and he fell of his ass unceremoniously. He quickly stood and rushed past the guards and out of the building.

The two guards looked up at me an expectant look in their eyes and a joyous smile on their faces. "Your orders, Cursoribus?"

"Make sure that the evacuation goes smoothly." I said in a much calmer voice. "If you notice trouble, try dealing with it. Dismissed."

The two guards saluted me before they turned and left type building leaving me alone with my thoughts.

Silvio(POV)

That god damn Cursoribus treated me with such disrespect! And the guards did nothing to stop him! He nearly killed me and he ruined my best suit! I thought to myself pacing back and forth in my luxurious livingroom. It was furnished with the best looking furniture money could by, although they were all extremely but it has never bothered me as I spent my time on things that mattered. Like keeping my fur in perfect condition or making sure my suits looked their best. Suddenly my phone rang startling me a little. I quickly composed myself and answered my phone.

"What?!" I angrily barked into the phone.

"Slim it Silvio." a voice said from the other end of the line.

I felt a pit drop into my stomach a I realised who was calling me. Jack Savage.

"I-I'm sorry sir!" I said quickly. "I had no idea it was you!"

"Obviously." Jack replied an edge to his voice. "I need a ride Silvio."

"Why? what happened?" I asked.

"Never you mind!" Jack snapped at me fiercely. "I just need a ride to Beute capital."

A brilliant thought came to my mind. I could flee to Beute capital with Jack. I have nothing left here with that Cursoribus taking over.

"Where are you currently?" I asked cautiously.

"I'm in a small cabin near a river. Its about four miles esast from Bunnyburrows." Jack responded.

"Can you hold out until tomorrow?" I asked tentively.

"What? Why?" Jack demanded, he obviously didn't like the idea.

"The Cursoribus took charge." I explained. "But I have an idea to get rid of him and get us into Beute capital. Along with my most trust worthy soldiers."

"Hang on you said Cursoribus?" Jack asked. "The same won who ruined my ambush last Night and completely humiliated me?"

"Yes sir." I answered.

"I can hold out." he responded. "But make sure that Cursoribus comes too. I want to see him killed."

"Ill find a way to do it. Don't worry."

"With you, that's all I can do." he replied harshly, before he hung up the phone.

I put my phone away and looked outside my window placing my hands behind my back. I felt an evil smile spread across my face as I thought about the Cursoribus's demise.

"Oh I am going to enjoy this." I muttered aloud.
