"What do you want?" I growled.

"No need for hostilities love. I'm calling in the name of peace."

"Thus I ask again. What. Do. You. Want?"

"I want to offer you a dinner proposal as a sign of repentance for offending you while at your own gala."

"And what makes you think I'll accept?"

"Cause a woman of standing such as yours is bound to be a sensible one too. We could consider it a business dinner, how's that?"

"I'll think about it."

What! My conscience quipped.

"Don't keep me waiting too long love." He said before the line died.

What have I just gotten myself into? I groaned.

"So who's the lucky guy?" Gwen teased as she helped get ready for the business dinner with Alec........ I mean Mr. Platon. And yes, I agreed for reasons that are beyond me.

Now I was here trying to convince myself that I had called in the professional -Gwen- simply because I wanted to look good, you know as a self treat and not because he'd so sardonically remembered to add that I should put on something nice and I now wanted to prove to him just how nicely I could dress.

"Justin?" She nudged when I was silent.

"No. Not him." I said, distracted.

"Then who is it?

"Ever heard of the name Alec Platon?" I asked after a defeated sigh.

"Platon? Like the Greek Platon franchise?" She beamed.

"Yes."

"Damn girl! How'd you bag that?"

"We met at the gala in Greece."

"Argh!...... now I hate myself for not staying with you."

I simply smiled.

"So you guys met, hit it off now you're going out. Testing the waters or dating?"

"It's more of an apology dinner?"

"Apology? That's.......... peculiar. How did that happen? Had a lover's quarrel?"

"No. He was rude to me at the gala. He now what's to call a truce."

"Ooh.... okay. And........ we're done." She said when she'd finished me off. "Go get him girl!"

The car pulled up to the docks where a well lit cruise boat sat. It was beautiful.

He helped me out of the car and after slipping my arm into his folded one he gently led me to the cruise ship. I was really looking forward to stepping on it till I realised there were quite a few people already on it.

"I thought this was dinner date?" I asked before quickly correcting myself. "Uuh.....a business dinner between the two of us. It almost looks like a gala."

"Uuh....." he said almost sheepishly. "That's cause it is."

I let out a long sigh before asking, "What about?"

"A charity dinner for foreign companies aimed at giving a helping hand in the country their branch is in." He explained quickly as if expecting me to get mad. "This round is going to charity organizations here in the US."

"Oh!" Was all I could say. I had no idea they did this.

"Are you mad?" He asked just as we made it on deck.

I didn't even get a chance to answer him when I heard a squeal and fast tapping of heels before a beauty launched into his arms.

I stepped back quickly and watched warily as Alec staggered back alittle before regaining his footing obviously not expecting it too.

A frown marred my face when Alex let out a low chuckle when the beauty stepped back and looked him in the eyes.

"Hey sweetie?" He said.

Sweetie?

Hey big bro! You bastard, you left without me!" She said as she smacked his chest.

Oh! This is his sister? I thought with a relieved sigh. Wait, relieved!

"I'm sorry. I had some business to take care of." He said his gaze turning to me meaningfully.

"Oh! Is this beauty with you?" She said as she pulled away from their embrace.

"Yes. Athena, meet my date for tonight Reece Hale. Reece, meet my little sister Athena Platon."

"Nice to meet you." I said shyly as I offered her my hand in greeting.

She stared at my hand then at me as if I was crazy and slowly withdrew my hand feeling slightly wounded. I could feel Alec's gaze on me.

That was before she looked at him then back at me and gave a low squeal and engulfed me in her arms.

"It's so nice to meet you." She said into my ear before pulling away. "Gosh you're a beauty! I can see why Alec likes you."

I blushed at her words all the while feeling the eyes of those around on our little group.

Alec groaned, "Athena, don't start."

"What has she started this time?" A deep voice behind her asked.

Not as deep as Alec's though. I thought surprising myself.

Athena rolled her eyes as a handsome man almost the same age as Alec joined us, slipping his hand around her waist while Alec did the same with me, almost in a possessive grip.

"Eros! Long time no see."

"Same to you Alec." The man, Eros replied and Athena turned to whisper in his ear.

His gaze turned towards me and moving away from her, he stalked towards me.

Taking my hand that was free from Alec's side he slowly brought it to his lips, "and who's this beauty on your arm?"

I was sure I heard Alec growl. I looked up at him when I felt cool lips on the back of my hand causing my eyes to flutter back to Eros.

"She's my date." Alec bit out through gritted teeth as his grip on my waist tightened.

Eros gave me a mischievous grin as Athena giggled.

"I can tell that by your obvious jealousy." He said with low chuckle causing Alec to glare at him. "What's your name beautiful? "

My heart fluttered and my cheeks heated up. Not cause I felt anything towards the man but because I simply wasn't accustomed to compliments being thrown my way. They were always aimed at my sister.

"I'm.....I'm Reece Hale. Alec's friend."

"Lovely to meet you Miss Hale. I'm Eros Rota. Athena's fiance."

"Oh. Lovely to meet you."

"Come on." Athena took me by the hand and led me away from the two men. "I'll introduce you to the others."

I looked back to Alec for help and I was relieved when they began following us. 

We hadn't gone far when I heard another squeal only more high pitched this time.

I heard Athena groan beside me then watched as a platinum blonde literally threw herself at Alec and pressed a kiss right on his lips!

Who's the blonde? You'll just have to wait and read!! :-D
And sorry for the late update. Got a new idea that I've been working on for sort of a play. I'll give you a sneak preview of it once I'm completely done with it.
