Iris's POV:

"You can't protect him..."

"Yes, I can!" I yelled.

"It would make matters worse. You need to leave..."

"I'm not leaving!"

"You need to come back, Iris..."

"I'm not leaving."

"Fine then..."

Horrible memories suddenly came into my head. The only thing I remembered was, me screaming. I woke up to see Alit, sleeping on the extra mattress, he brought out. I smiled. I forgot, he came in, in the middle of the night. I walked over to him, and gave him a kiss on his forehead.

"I'll miss you..."

~Alit's POV~

I woke up, to see Iris gone. She must've gone to see Merag, I thought. I got up, and walked over to the door. That's when I noticed something. Her closet was opened. I walked over to it. Iris, would always put her decks in here, along with her cloths. But it was empty. Nothing was in it. That's odd. I walked over to the door, and walked into the hall way, closing the door behind me. Habit, I guess.

"Hey, Alit."

I turned around. Merag walked up to me.

"Have you seen, Iris?" she asked.

"No. I thought she was with you," I said.

She shook her head.

"No one has seen her."

I started to panic.

"Merag...You don't think she...Ran away, do you?" I asked, my voice cracked.

She looked at me. She didn't say anything. She didn't need to. I was already running down the hall, before she could answer.

I never understood, why she ran away. Now I do.
