Stretching her arms and tilting her head, Alma was attempting to bury herself back into the comfort of the bed around her. Knowing she had to get up, despite being totally and utterly comfortable. For a moment, she had actually forgotten where she was and what was she doing; her mind was still in that in between state of sleep and awake, where details weren't hundred percent. Blinking and lifting her head up, she looked to the door with a raised eyebrow. "You know, I don't think I've ever had breakfast in bed so much before you appeared." Alma said while putting her hands underneath herself and pushing herself up. She looked around with bleary eyes still yet looked down with a smile at the tray.
David sat down on the edge of the bed and placed his hands in his lap. "It's still early." He explained, Alma paused in drinking and got the hint. If the others were up and about he probably wouldn't be doing this. Because really, he'd end up being questioned on his motives. It was rather certain that by now everyone had sensed the frosty feelings between himself and Meredith.
She toasted the half empty glass. "Here's to taking advantage of lay-ins." She laughed when he mimicked holding a glass of his own and pretended to clink it against hers. He put his hands back in his lap though when she lowered her glass and pushed herself up against the headboard and looked decidedly to the food. The bland options didn't make it any less or easier to choose what to start with first. "What do you think we'll be up to today?"
David looked around thoughtfully, "The storm has passed."
"Oh..." Alma groaned and looked up at the ceiling with an exasperated sigh. "Think Rafe and Sean are still alive?" David looked uncertainly at that. "I mean do you think they've annoyed each other so much, that they've done each other in?" She rolled her eyes, she had no clue what David was thinking of here. She looked at him questionably though. "Is there anything dangerous here, David?"
"That I am uncertain about."
Inhaling she pointed a finger at him. "David."
"All scans indicate that there's nothing harmful here." He said a little too quickly for her liking. She crossed her arms and looked at him blankly. "Please don't look at me like that." For someone so animated, being suddenly stoic and motionless didn't suit her. Nor did it really settle well with him. "Can you continue eating your breakfast so we can go find the others?"
"But you've already said that they're all still asleep."
David fidgeted at that. With a sigh, he frowned and stood, Alma watched as he paced around the room before simply taking to standing at the end of the bed. Alma raised an eyebrow, "I don't know." David said while turning and slowly walking to the other side of the bed. He sat down and fidgeted over to be by her side.
"Gut feeling?"
David scrunched his nose up at that. "I don't have guts, Alma. That saying, though it may be useful for this, it is lost on myself."
"Stop picking holes."
"Do you not find it weird? Strange even that this place is a basic ghost?"
"A space ghost." David double took at her, Alma blinked and lowered her face and quickly ate a few mouthfuls of her breakfast. He went to reply to that only to tilt his head in confusion. He didn't know what to say, so maybe staying silent was best? "But that doesn't mean there's nothing dangerous here."
"Does give moment to pause and think." David leaned his head back against the headboard and looked sidelong at her. She slowly drunk some of her drink and looked thoughtfully back at him. He smiled, "Good morning, by the way."
Alma stood and turned to pick the tray up. She walked over to the table and dumped it down before returning back. She leaned down and rested her hands against the bed with a smile. "Good morning, David!" She said as cheerily as ever. David just smiled in return and looked up when the intercom clicked on and Janek informed everyone about going out to retrieve the missing two crew members. "Duty calls, huh?"
