The last thing they expected when they returned to the Prometheus was to hear of the deaths of Rafe, Sean and Charlie. Alma had gasped and looked around demanding some sort of answers; the last she saw of both Rafe and Sean they were fine, clearly bickering away to themselves as they walked away from the group, but they were very much alive. She had seen Charlie in the morning and he did look a little pale and unwell, but otherwise he didn't seem to be outwardly on death's door. What happened between them all leaving and now was a complete and utter mystery to her.

Unlike herself though, David didn't seem outwardly shocked, or confused. He just looked about with some sort of cool indifference and pulled her gently away by the arm. Elizabeth had fainted soon after Charlie's death, which involved some phantom and sudden disease and incineration by Meredith and a flamethrower; it sounded truly horrible to Alma and couldn't imagine how Elizabeth even felt right now. But with her sudden fainting spell she had been whisked away to one of the many medical rooms. Kate seemed like she had intentions on going to see her, only for David to state that was unwise.

"I am unable to catch whatever this is, if it is catching. I do not advise you going near until I determine what is the matter with Doctor Shaw." He had said all a little too robotically while casting a look at Kate and continuing to pull Alma out of the room.

"She could just wear a suit." Alma whispered, "She is the medical side of things here..." Alma trailed off because of the hard look which David sent down at her. "What?"

"Nothing." He looked ahead again and stopped. He turned and looked at her, smiling thinly he nodded over her shoulder. "I shall see you later, Miss." Alma hadn't even noticed or realised that she had arrived at her room. She let out a startled noise and looked behind herself as the door opened. Looking back to David, she just nodded stiffly while he just continued to smile and watched as she entered the room.

With a sigh, his smile slipped and he turned and commenced unzipping the front of his suit. He couldn't very well treat Elizabeth or even look over any injuries while still in this thing. By the time, he got to the room which the crew had carried her into he was half-way out of the suit and the arms of it were simply tied around his waist. He straightened out his white t-shirt and pulled the door closed while climbing out of the rest of the suit. Straightening out his trousers he moved over while dumping the suit to one side. He'd collect it later, or when he needed it again.

Running a hand through his hair, he put on his best innocent façade and moved over. Elizabeth laid still with her eyes shut, seemingly either asleep or unconscious, David didn't know which and he didn't particularly find he cared which it was. He reached down however with a slight tilt of his head when he spotted the gold chain and cross still on her person. Someone had seen fit to change her, presumably Kate, but had left this on. So, anything else which could possibly be harbouring this...this whatever it was, was all but gone, but could still be lingering around on her necklace.

David resisted the urge to roll his eyes, though his gaze did snap downwards when there was sudden movement. With a gentle smile, he paused, so Elizabeth wasn't asleep or unconscious, but rather very much awake and alert, she was faking clearly. "My deepest condolences. I'm going to have to take this, it may be contaminated." He said in a soft tone while watching as Elizabeth slowly but surely relaxed.

"If there's a contagion, we were all exposed. You need to...we need to run blood work on everyone who set foot in the pyramid." Elizabeth said while sounding slightly out of breath as she paused and then looked up at him with worried eyes.

"Yes, of course." David's reply was curt and simple with a small smile and a nod of his head.

"Yes," Elizabeth's hands fully loosened now and allowed him to undo the clasp on her necklace and take it off her.
