She tossed and turned on the leaves making them rustled and break under the pressure. She must have been having a nightmare. Quickly, I laid down next to her and embraced her, letting my body heat warm her up. Her restlessness ceased as she snuggled down into me. Enveloping us in my wings keeping the cool air off of her fragile body, we soon fell asleep. Goodnight Luce.

Present...
Lucy's POV

Suddenly, I woke to unsettling banging that continued to become louder. What the hell is going on?, I questioned myself as my eyes fluttered opened to the piercing light of the sun that impaled itself through small holes within some sort of box. As I gained consciousness, panic began to develop within my veins causing my heart to race.

Where am I? Where's Natsu? Questions continued to flood my cursed mind, "Natsu!!" I screeched as I brought my hands to hammer into the wooden side of the box, that's when I realised the chains that attached me to it. The cold, iron almost burnt against my skin as I continuously smashed the sides of my enclosure, as I forever yelled his name.

I knew we were moving, as the enclosure would rattle from the poor ground beneath it. But I didn't care what was happening I wanted to know where he was. The banging from earlier still became louder and louder with each passing moment. That's when my brain ticked. The banging was coming from the other side of the box where my chains where located. I rested my ear against it, trying to listen to what could be on the other side.

"Natsu, is that you," I spoke softly, hoping that I would here a response. That's when I heard a panicking mumble from the area where the banging had once took place.
It was him.

Natsu POV

Relief flooded me as I mumbled to her response as I removed the rag from my mouth, keeping me from talking to Luce. Anti-magic chains wrapped around my arms, legs and my damaged wings, restricting my movement, as I tossed the rag to the side, I focused everything on getting to Lucy.

"Hey Lucy are you ok?" I questioned as I tried creating a hole in the side of the enclosure so I could get to Lucy without anyone seeing.
"Yeah I'm ok, but where are we going and what's going on?" Fear struck her voice as I heard her hands dance around the wall that separated us.
"I think the Queen's guards found us, they must of seen us flying earlier," I answered as I then found a weak spot in the wood and created the hole and weaved my scaly, taloned hands through, as pain surged up my arm from the chains reaching their limits.

Blood slowly leaked upon the floor of my enclosure, the agonizing pain from my wings continued to drag on. The gash that split part of my left wing and into my back stop me from transforming back into the human form. It was too painful for the transformation.

"Natsu... what's going to happen to us?" A sense of urgency began to peak as she placed her hand in mine.
"I don't know. But I promise I will protect you, I swear upon my life," I heard a tear hit the wood as her grip on my scaly hand tighten as I brought it closer to me so I could wrap both of my hands around hers. "Hey, I made a promise remember. And I will never break that promise," She place her other hand upon mine for recognition.

"We'll get through this together," She stated as I nodded in response as I squeezed her fragile hands.
"We'll be alright, I promise."
