Changes

It's been a month since the party and Katie has changed a lot. She goes to parties, she dresses sluttier, she's always drunk and we almost never hang out anymore. I thought we had a special connection but apparently not, she's not even the person I knew before.

She's also has new friends. Their names are Jessica, Victoria, Carly and Mackenzie. Jessica is tall and skinny with dark skin and hair. Victoria has short dark brown hair that is normally done up in a bun and dark skin. Carly is a petite brunette with light blue eyes. Mackenzie has dark brown hair and pale skin with a nose piercing.

All way different than me, they're popular and pretty. Then there's me in the corner; the shy girl with red hair who's majoring in the performing arts. That's all they think of me. All they see in me.

I walk down the hall to my next class when I'm suddenly hit from behind and all my books go flying. I look up and see Jessica and her posse which includes Katie.

"Oh sorry red," Jessica says. Her voice dripping with sweetness,"I guess I didn't see you there."

They all walk away except Katie. She stays there for a few seconds hesitating before following her new "friends."

I feel anger boiling in the pit of my stomach but I push the feeling aside. They're just stuck in high school, where there were cliques and populars but college is different. Right? Oh never mind, I just can't believe Katie would do that! I take a deep breath before telling myself before telling myself it's just part of Jessica's plan. She wants to put Katie against me, to show me I have no friends. Katie will sure show them... will she?
