Shopping spree

Me and Bella decided to go shopping for dresses for the Christmas dance. We walk through the mall debating on which store to check out next.

"I honestly think that we should go to that quaint little dress shop next to the book store," I say.

"But le Chateau has better dresses," she argues dragging me in the direction of the store. I pull back.

"Yes but they're too fancy and expensive. We're only going to a Christmas dance at the hall. Not the prom or something." I tell her.

"Well, I'm sorry that I've never been to a real dance before!" She says throwing her hands up defensively but also kind of jokingly. I laugh.

"I'll teach you, now come on!" I say dragging her towards the store. We walk in and I drag her over to the dress section and I start looking through the racks. I find a red sparkly dress with thin straps and hand it over to Bella who is standing beside me looking confused.

"Now what?" She asks.

"Go try it on," I say with a laugh, "I'll be right over. I still need to find one for myself to try on."

I search through the racks looking for a dress for myself. Everything I find is either too small, too big, too ugly, too slutty, too casual or too fancy. I sigh and turn around to go to the change rooms. I guess we'll have to try another store but then I see it. A white strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and a red sash tied in a bow at the front made of some silky material. It's perfect! I grab it and rush to the change rooms.

I see Bella looking at herself in the double mirrors at the end of the hall. The dress fits her perfectly and she looks beautiful. The colour of the dress goes perfectly with her skin tone and the sparkles give the illusion that she is shining.

"Bella oh my god! You look gorgeous!" I say rushing up to her.

"You really think so?" She says smiling a little shyly.

"Yes!" I say excitedly.

"Then it's a keeper!" She says going back into the change room to change back into her normal clothes.

I choose the change room beside her and change into the dress. When I walk out Bella's jaw drops. I go over to the mirrors and my jaw drops too. I knew this was the perfect dress. The fabric glows in the light of the store and moves like water, rippling as I turn. My red hair looks like fire compared to the snowy white colour of the dress and the sash gives the outfit just the right amour of colour. I smile, wait till Katie sees me now.

Me and Bella pay for our dresses and walk around the mall searching for a shoe shop. I look around the mall and admire the Christmas displays in the store fronts as Bella debates what colour shoe would go best with her new dress.

"Keep in mind that you're going to be dancing so I would go for a smaller heel," I say.

"Right," she says nodding. When she looks up again her eyes widen in horror. I follow her gaze and see A crowd of girls taking pictures on their cellphones and trying to get the attention of the people in the middle of the crowd. Those people are Katie... and Harry Styles. My jaw drops. Since when is Harry actually enjoying her company? Last I remember he was so desperate to get away from her that he actually talked to me.

"Let's go," I say my stomach churning as I see Harry telling Katie a joke and she laughs a little too hard for it to be a real laugh after he finishes taking pictures with fans.

Me and Bella find shoes and go back to our dorm. I'm still a little disturbed by what we saw earlier. How did that happen? How are they actually friends, or dating, or whatever they're doing?

I flop down on my bed. It has been a rough week. I turn my head and smile at the bag on the floor that contains my new dress. I can't wait till the weekend. I wonder if Niall will be at the dance. I hope he is, I had a really good time that night a few weeks ago.

I hear Katie's voice in my head, The only reason he was talking to you is because he has to keep up an appearance.

Shut up! I tell it. Her voice is the last thing I want to hear.
