After the pizza dinner, they had come to an uneasy alliance, and she tried harder not to annoy the bodyguard. She spent a lot of time lying around the pool area, under cover, where they had shared pizza, and not daring to touch anything in the house, after the infamous Ming vase incident.
She had no idea how expensive the thing was and would never intentionally damage his property. The house was quiet and she hadn't seen or heard from Caleb for hours. She reached for the phone as it rang as she passed by going into the hallway and answered.
"I just see if I can find him, this place is enormous." She headed towards his bedroom and adjoining office. He did seem to spend a lot of time in there. "Caleb?" She called, entering his bedroom.
"What is it Amanda?" Phone in hand, rolling her eyes, she followed his voice and entered the bathroom and stilled, staring at the man in the bath, both arms over the edge, head back, eyes closed.
She gulped, unable to move and lifted the phone to her ear. "You will have to call him back; he's indisposed at the moment." His magnificent form exposed and she wasn't moving or looking away, even when his eyes shot open and narrowed at the sight of her, though, didn't even try to cover himself up as she stood there transfixed.
"Amanda," he growled. "Get out of here now," he ordered. She turned around, however, didn't leave.
"You know," she found her voice, though husky, so coughed, "you should've locked the door, if you wanted privacy. I didn't expect you to be in the bath at this time of the day," she added. She looked around the golden colours with white bathroom. "Nice bathroom," she noted. "Nice body," popped out before she could stop herself and giggled. "Oops, sorry that just slipped out. That was your employer on the line."
"My what? Oh, I see, and since you refuse to let me have peace, you can always join me," he stated softly. Heat burned her cheeks and walked out as he laughed. "I knew it, all talk."
She stopped, headed back, and popped her head around the corner, gasping at the sight of the rising man and spun around, slamming into the wall, covering her eyes. "Sorry," she pushed away and run out of his bedroom. Being underwater hadn't given full view, but to see him butt naked like that was really too much. He was all male. Embarrassed, she replaced the phone and hastened away towards the outside, over the bridge of the pool and towards the summer hut on the edge of the property that she disappeared into. Surely he wouldn't find her here, until too much later, so stretched out on the sofa that circled the whole thatched roof hut.
Standing at the window, drying his hair, Xavier watched as Amanda made her escape, and smiled to himself. A total innocent. He was going to enjoy teaching her. She tasted so good, scent of wild flowers, and so silky soft to the touch. Heat travelled down to his groin, and turn away. For now, he would let her get her composure back, removing the phone, dropping onto the bed and lay back onto the bed, naked as he dialled a number, he knew off by heart.
"You wanted me, father?" He greeted, kind of wishing, she would enter the room now, finding him like this and hardened, shaking his head from such thoughts, and with such curiosity in her vivid blue eyes. She was interested, very interested. He sat up, because he was becoming very uncomfortable. "Look, I would ring you back, something has come up." He shut down the phone and tossed onto the bed, and went back to the bathroom, having a very cold shower.
After another quiet day, Jodie ended up going to bed early, and keeping her distance from Caleb, after that very embarrassing moment. Unable to sleep, she lay in bed wide awake. It had been another hot day. She rolled over and punched her pillow, then sat up. What she need was to burn off some energy. There was that indoor pool and Caleb would be asleep by now, and if she was very quiet, and made it a quick dip, then there would be no harm done.
