The whole town turned out to see their little heroine marry her prince in the town hall; Tom gave her away, witnessed by Rachael and Scott. The bride dressed in blue. There had been no time to order in a wedding dress, but she didn't care, happy with her choice from the only dress shop in town. Wedding dresses were chosen from a catalogue and ordered in. Caleb and Amanda stayed for the wedding, then were touring Australia as part of their honeymoon that had been cut short.
After congratulations, they saw Caleb and Amanda off with hugs and kisses, and then they were heading out of the town. Chewing her lip, Jodie watched as Caleb and Amanda drove away in Xavier's car, and turned towards him confused. "Are you planning on staying Xavier?"
"Here? Good heavens, no."
"But our transport just left," she pointed at the dust cloud. "He'd get done for speeding," she also pointed out.
"No, he won't, diplomatic immunity, as for the other..." he looked at his watch, "should be here at any moment, though I will need to talk to Caleb about his driving, nearly as bad as you."
"Xavier!" She complained to be smiled at, and then guided up against his frame, running his hand over her bottom, over the blue dress that suited her so well, and enhanced her figure to the fullest. His eyes drifted down over her full bust, making her hot and bothered that she moved against him, invitingly.
His smile broadened, noticing her reaction to him. She deliberately rubbed against him and blue eyes glowing, pressing a hand onto his chest as he dipped down for a lingering kiss, only to pull away at a high pitch hum. Jodie covered her eyes with her hand and looked towards the skies as others venture out to see what was going on. "We are going in that?" She asked at the lowering helicopter.
"The only way to travel princess," he stated and nodded at the waiting men with their bags as the helicopter landed in the middle of the street.
"Can he do that?"
"Yes, we have five minutes, and keep your head down," he claimed her hand and led her towards the helicopter. The door was opened and he climbed in, pulling Jodie in behind him, then their bags placed behind them. The door slammed shut and rose from the ground. Jodie looked down and waved at the gathered crowd, who waved back at her and her prince, as it turned and went back from where it come to soon disappear out of sight.
Xavier smiled at her as she leaned into him, claiming his arm with her hands. "Is this not better than a road trip?"
"Are you saying, baby, you don't want to travel the road with me?" She dared to be growled at and chuckled, giving him a hug. "I guess not," she smiled and lean over him, enjoying the view. She had never seen this area before by plane. She had always travelled by horse or car. She looked behind her for the last time, pressing fingers against the glass. Then turned sharply off to the side, stunned, she looked down, her heart nearly bursting as they lowered onto familiar ground. Swallowing over a lump in her throat, she turned towards Xavier, searching.
"Do you really think, I would let you go, without saying goodbye to her parents?"
She closed her eyes in pain. She hadn't been back since they were buried here. Opening the door, Xavier dropped out, and held out his hand that she reluctantly took and eased down, where he guided her over to the grave site of her parents. On their property, where they were born and breed, with special permission. A part of the contract of selling the property, they were there for life.
Tears welled up in her eyes and fell, struggling to breath. Xavier guided her up against him. "Jodie you can't be upbeat all the time, you have to face this." She looked at him with wide sad eyes that broke his heart. He stepped closer. "They would always be here in your heart, Jodie," he placed his hand on her heart. "It is time to grieve them then move on."
