"Xavier?"
"What is it, my sweets?" Oh, she liked that and smiled at him.
"Could we see some of the nightlife? This is my first time here and probably my last, so would like to see the sights, if that is alright with you?"
"Of course, do you want to change first?" He asked, signing the bill to his room.
"Xavier! What an absolute delight to see you," they both turned at the sugar sweetness with an English lit. Jodie swallowed hard at the sight of the stunner, who greeted Xavier so warmly kissing his lips as he raised, dressed in a slinky glittering dress of blue, draped in diamonds.
"Lady Helena, how delightful to see you again," Xavier greeted, turning his head away, "may I introduce Princess Amanda Hunter, who is my guest." The brunette barely nodded at her. Jodie smiled back, but made no move to rise, her evening ruined, especially when the other woman pressed up against him and placed her hand on his chest, as if he belonged to her and he didn't.
"You have been a naughty boy; it has been far too long, so when will you be joining us again in England."
"Hopefully I would be seeing your husband later in the year, now my Lady, if you excuse us we were leaving, Amanda." He held out his hand to be taken, heart soaring as she joined his side. He smiled at the brunette. "I hope you enjoy your evening," with an abrupt nod, he walked away, taking Jodie with him. "Insufferable woman," he grumbled under his breath. Jodie stepped closer and took hold of his upper arm with her hand.He looked down and smiled. "Do you want to hit the streets?" She shook her head.
"No, I think I have changed my mind on that, let's just have a quiet night in." That way they wouldn't bump into any more of his acquaintances and she bet there were many, twitching her nose in annoyance, which didn't go passed his sight. Playfully he tapped her nose.
"Now, my darling, you wouldn't be jealous?"
"Of her," she acted shocked. Of course she was, since the lady was everything she wasn't. "Of course not," she laughed off though lowered her eyes.
"Liar," he laughed, "there is no need habibti, since she is only the wife of a man I do business dealing with, not my type at all," he shook his head at such a thought. "Lady Helena is only tolerated, believe me."
"What is your type Xavier?" She dared, looking back with curious blue eyes. His dark eyes swept over her, very slowly taken in every detail, and smiled.
"You are," he noted, soaring her heart.
"Oh," beaming, she hugged his arm as they headed towards the elevator that would take them back to their suite of rooms. Her hold tightened around his arm. "Thank you for an interesting dinner."
"Interesting? How so?" He asked.
She laughed, suddenly feeling lightheaded. "My interrogation, did I pass? And I am glad I didn't suffer indigestion."
"I am starting to feel insulted Princess," he warned.
"You shouldn't feel insulted, my prince," she teased reaching up and kissed his cheek.
He glanced down. "I shouldn't? So far I have been called a Mallee bull, a koala,"
"Who wanted to jump me," she whispered, colour flooding her cheeks at such daring.
"That is yet to be seen," he noted, edging her forward as they approached the elevator that opened and stepped in, once more crowded that she pressed against Xavier's body to just fit in. Only aware of him. His arm firmly around her waist as they headed back towards their room.
