Clothes tossed aside, two lost souls found each other and emerged as one, hungrily. They belonged together and always would, rediscovering each other, unable to touch enough, kiss enough, losing themselves into each other until they collapsed, spent, holding each other tightly, as it was meant to be, with her name on his lips.

Snuggled against Xavier, Jodie lazily ran her hand over his chest, never feeling so happy. He had always made her feel happy, especially when they were together like this. Light fingertips caressed over her back, bringing forth sounds of pleasure at his touch. "You didn't answer my question Jodie," he reminded her. She sighed. "We need to sort it Jodie," he raised his arm and looked at the time, "which we would have to do later. We are needed elsewhere."

She rose, hovering over him. "We are?

"Yes." He sat up more, tossing back the bedding and swung his legs over her bed. "They are expecting you."

"Me?" She asked, surprised. "Why would they care, if go or not."

He looked over his shoulder at her, his dark eyes sweeping over her. "Because they know the truth and the whole dance is a thank you for what you did."

Her jaw dropped open. "What? How? I don't understand." Her eyes narrowed on him. "What have you done Xavier?" He turned back towards her and hovered over her and softly kissed her.

"Nothing, just told the truth."

"I wish you hadn't. I didn't want them to know," she moaned against his lips, though snaked her arms around his neck, holding him to her, too scared to let him go, in case he vanished. How could she believe in this, in him, being a prince, and she was a commoner. She eased back, searching. "Is this what this is all about? To make amends."

He shook his dark head. "To make it right. Now, we have to go," he eased out of her hold and went to get dressed. She sat up holding the bedding against her nakedness.

"And what if I don't want to go. You go; it was your money, after all. Had nothing to do with me."

"Jodie," he growled, giving her a look of reprimand. "Would you, for once in your life do as you're told? They are expecting you, so get dressed," he ordered.

"Did anyone tell you, you are bossy?" She grumbled. He removed her dress from the chair and tossed it at her.

"Only you," he answered the phone as it rang. "Yes, we will be there. I just have to get her..."

"Xavier," she warned, slipping out of bed and pulled on the dress and turned, so he could zip it up. He patted her bottom. "I'm not happy about this," she added going off to see to the jewellery and redoing her makeup. Suddenly she swung on him, wide eyed. "What did you do with Scott?!" After all, he was the one who was going to escort to the dance.

"He was sent a message you were meeting him there," he shut down the phone, then scoffed. "As if you were going anywhere with him."

"I was supposed to be his date," she pointed out, liking the sound of jealousy in his voice. That meant he cared. Just a smidgen. At least that was something.

"Date? I do not think so Jodie. You would be at my side." Taking her hand, he guided her back towards him and into his arms, kissing her. "That would have to do until after the dinner."

"Dinner? I thought it was a dance," she whispered against his lips, her arms going around his waist.

"Both, now are you done?"

She chuckled. "For now, if I have to."

"Of course you do, what is private is private and never in public."
