" I go back to work today. The weekend is over Lilly. "

" No come on. You can miss work for one day. I just want you to come to Josh's party. He's your friend for God's sake. He'd want you there. "

" I'll go over after work Lilly. You can go if you want. " I'm determined to go to work. She can't stop me. I Definatly want to keep this roof over my head.

" Aww, but Sarsh is going to be there. " She really wants me to go. Lilly tries taking a bite of one of the cookies we baked last night. A look of distaste washes over her face and she spits out the cookie.

" I'm sorry Lilly I can't go. I need to leave for work now. Bye. " I hug her and try not to laugh as she quickly hugs me and runs to the sink to get the burnt cookie taste out of her mouth.

Okay. Those cookies were disgusting. I'm not going to let them go to waste though. I grab a pair of shoes and hop into my car.

Well if Louis won't go with me to the Zoo. I'll go by myself.

I get to the Zoo and walk inside to the front desk and the first thing I see is Harry. Glaring at me from over the desk.

" Hello Harold. " I laugh.

" Hello. Why are you here? " He says in an angry tone.

" Well I brought a gift. Make sure to share. " I drop the bag of cookies on the desk and start to walk away.

" I don't get you Lilly. " Harry says from behind me.

" You don't need to. " I say and he lets me leave.

I start walking faster once I'm outside and I keep my head down.

I run into someone " What the hell do yo- " The stop when they see my face.

" Austin. " I said. I had really been hoping he wouldn't be here today.

" Just leave Lilly. No one wants you here anyways. " He pushes me to the ground.

" I'm sorry I just came to... " A tear slips down my cheek.

" You idiot. I don't love you. Get out. "

" I'm just here to- " He cuts me off and shoves me back down to the ground again.

" Get the fuck away or else I'll... "

" Or else what Austin? " A deep voice says from behind me.

" Fuck off Sam. " He glares at the boy behind me. I still can't see his face though. Even if I was facing him wouldn't be able to see him through tears.

" No. " He pushes Austin and Sam helps me up.

" I... just... " I can't speak. I'm crying too hard.

" It's okay. Just be quiet. You don't need to talk right now. " He picks me up and sets me down on a park bench.

" Just go Austin. "

" Ha. You think you'll get rid of me so easy. " Austin laughs.

" Yes and we will. Mr. Hanson. " A man in a suit comes up behind Austin.

" Oh shit. " Austin mutters.

" Oh shit is right. Mr. Hanson. You're fired. " The man in the suit just laughs and walks away dragging Austin with him.

Sam comes to sit next to me. I flinch as Sam puts him hand on my arm.

" I won't hurt you. I just want to see how bad your arm is. " I pulls up my sleeve. and looks at the scrapes on my arms.

" Good news. I think you'll live. " He wipes tears out from under my eyes. I've finally stopped crying.

" So what's your name? In pretty sure you've figured out that I'm Sam. " I smiles down at me.

" I-I'm Lilly. " I say sitting up.

" Pretty name. " He smiles. " Sam isn't very pretty at all. "

I giggle. " I think it's quite pretty. "

I hate New York in the morning. Everyone who gets in your cab is either crazy or cranky.

" Hi I'm going to 4471 South Robin Street. Thanks. " A person hops in the backseat talking really fast.

" Okay. Welcome. " I say calmly taking his money and putting it away.

" Oh by the way my name is Jared and what's yours? "

I can tell this is going to be a long ride and I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone. I need a coffee.

" I'm Louis. " I mumble.

" Okay. Cool. Do you know where there's a coffee shop around Robin Street? " He asks.

" There's a Starbucks up the road. It's 4785 North Robin Street. "

" Oh thanks Louis. " After that it was finally quiet.

Although I really want a coffee I've decided not to stop at the Starbucks. I'd rather have a job and want Starbucks than have Starbucks and want a job.

I stop and he gets out.

" Bye Louis. Thanks. " He says running up to the building.

" Welcome Jared. Nice meeting you. " I say hoping he'll leave now.

" Oh it's nice meeting you too. Hope I'll see you again. " He says before walking up to the building and waving goodbye.

" Doubt it. " I mutter to myself and start driving.
