I'm home and I sit down on the couch. I've only been sitting here about 10 minutes and the door is thrown open and some random boy walks in practically carrying Lilly.

" If she's drunk you can set her down over there. If she's sober can you come sit over here and explain to me. " I tell him.

" She's sober and I'm Sam. "

" Cool I'm Louis. Sit down Sam. " I point to a chair.

" Oh okay. Are you Lilly's boyfriend? " He asks me setting Lilly down next to me and she smiles up at me not saying anything.

" No. No. She doesn't have one. "

Neither do I. I think to myself.

" Oh okay. Well let me explain. She was at the Zoo for something. She hasn't told me why, but she was there and she ran into Austin and he pushed her to the ground several times and was yelling at her and then I just got her and I drove her home. Well I asked where she lived and she gave me this address. I guess that's all. "

" Thank you Sam. " I look down at Lilly and notice that just behind her jawbone was a gash that was bleeding. I go and wet down a rag and clean the wound while I talk with Sam.

They didn't seen like 'just friends' since Louis has hugged Lilly twice and kissed her on the head. Also he's sitting there talking to her like she's a baby and cleaning the wound behind her jaw.

I don't think that's a 'just friends' sort of attitude.

" So you're just friends? " I ask hoping I'm not creeping them out.

" Yeah. Just friends. I'm not interested in girls. " He says matter of factly.

" He's gay. " Says Lilly.

" Hey. " Louis says hitting her shoulder.

" You're not supposed to hit girls. Especially not injured girls. " She scolds him.

I stand. " I think I'm going to go home now. "

" Wait. Give me a minute. " She says to Louis and walks me over to the door.

" Give me your phone for a sec. " I hand her my phone. I takes her a few seconds and she gives it back.

" I wish you could stay for dinner. I just want to say thank you. I really appreciate that you helped me. " She smiles at me and I blush.

" Any time Lilly. " I smile and open the door.

At runs over and as a last gesture of thanks and kindness she hugs me. Then I leave.

" I saw that. " I wink at Lilly and she punches me in the arm.

" He's cute okay. " She sighs.

" I'm tired. I need to get some sleep Lilly. " I tell her.

" No. Don't. " She almost yells.

" What? " I ask confused.

" Don't leave me I just... " she looks like she's going to start crying.

" Don't cry on me now. "

" Please I don't want to leave. " She wimpers.

" It's okay. I'd never kick you out of my house. You're like a sister to me. You can sleep on the couch if you'd like. "

" Okay. "

I open my eyes. The sun is blinding. I look over to see Lilly fast asleep on the couch. My back hurts from sleeping on the floor next to the couch.

I get up and go out to make breakfast. I make pancakes for Lilly and grab a bowl of dry cereal for myself. I start eating my cereal.

" No milk with that? " Lilly laughs from behind me.

" No. "

" You at least need some coffee. " She says.

" No I'm fine. " I bring her the pancakes.

" I feel like a princess when I'm here. " She smiles.

" Don't get used to it your highness. " I laugh.

" Oh I won't. "

" Good. " I smile at her.

" You're the best friend I could've asked for. " She smiles back.

" What do you mean? " I ask.

" Well for one, you just slept on the floor cause I'm a big baby even though you're comfortable bed was just down the hall. two, you get up and the first thing you think to do is make me breakfast. three, you are not mad at me. four, I might do this again and you'll let me. " She giggles.

" Well you're my best friend. "

" I know. " She smiles.

" Well I have to go to work, but you can stay here if you'd like. "

" I'll stay. "

" Okay.  I need to go now. " I hug her and leave.
