when all you see is broken glasses

I stared at the mirror,
In awe of its magic,
I enjoy the view.
Like a prey,
I circle it,
My eyes never leaving,
Always attached.

And I dance in front of it,
In a world of bliss,
When I suddenly knock it down with my elbow,
Unintentionally.
It falls backwards.
The movement ever so slowly.
The shatterring sound pierces my ears as if those glasses were slicing through my skin.

I am frozen,
My feet unmoved.
Some glasses on me,
Others on the carpet.
Red dotted my toes and ankles,
Pain crawls nearby.

If I move to the side,
They will cut me deeper.
If I move horizontally,
I'd break more.

My heart stops.
My skin in pain.
Red everywhere.
