" I got to tell you this, the one thing I hate about California is the traffic" Frank Sawyer complained as he turned up the AC in the family minivan. " The traffic, and the heat. It is like 92 degrees outside" he said.

" I like it. It is nice to be back in my hometown" his wife Maggie said as she applied lip gloss to her lips.

Frank just slumped in his chair. " You use to live here, so you have been preparing for this your entire life."

" Are we there yet?" There little 9 year old daughter Sara asked.

Frank lowered the mirror so he could see his daughter pretty face, with her long, brown hair.

" Not yet honey" Frank said.

" When will we be there?" Sara whined.

" Well with any luck, hopefully we will be there by tommorrow" Frank said.

.....

An hour later the Sawyer family arrived at the house. The house was a decently large house, with a nice green lawn that looked like it had been well kept. A man wearing a grey, tailored suit, and blonde hair was waiting for them when they pulled.

" You must be the Sawyer family" The man said as everyone got out of the van.

" Hi, you Raymond Gazzota, the realtor I talked too?" Frank asked as he shook the man hand.

" Yes, should I show you around the house, or do you need to take sometime. Maybe you, and your family want to grab something to eat?" Raymond asked.

" Uh no, that'll be just find" Frank said.

The family followed Raymond into the house.

The house was pretty large on the inside. The walls where you painted a light color of brown, there was a kitchen area in the back of the house that was sleazy furnished, and a twirling staircase that lead to the second floor of the house.

Sara went upstairs, while all the adults talked about adult stuff downstairs.

The upstairs was like the downstairs, empty. Every room Sara looked in was empty.

She than looked in a small room. She saw the room had a small bed in it, and a dresser. On that dresser sat a doll. Sara walked over to the doll, as if it was calling to her. It was a pretty doll, with long black hair, and a polka dot dress.

Sara picked up the doll. She looked at the tag on the dolls dress. The tag had the name Bethany printed in bright, red, cursive letters.

" I like you a lot. want meet my mom and Dad?" Sara asked the doll.

there was a period of silence.

" Great" Sara said. She trotted downstairs to show her parents Bethany.

" Mom, look what I found." Sara said. She handed her mom the doll to look at.

" Aww, what a nice doll. Where did you find it.?" Maggie asked Sara.

" There is this small bedroom 3 doors to the left upstairs." Sara explained.

" Was is it a small room, with a bed and a dresser. It had little ponies on the wall." Raymond asked?

" I did not notice any ponies on the wall, but it sounds like the room." Sara said.

Raymond pondered what the little girl said. " Huh, I was up in that room before you guys got here, and I never saw that doll." He explained. " I must have somehow missed it."

Sara looked at her mom. " So, can I keep the doll" Sara asked pleadingly.

" Of course you can" Maggie said. " Thanks" Sara said happily. Maggie smiled when her daughter hugged her, and ran off to play with her new toy in the backyard.
