Jordan's POV

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have acted like a little kid" Ella suddenly said after a long awkward silence and I was confused. Did she forgive me?

"I shouldn't have said what I did either," I said quietly. I was always the good one, I never had to say sorry so it felt weird, "I didn't mean for you to get upset."

"I don't know why I was so upset," She sighed, "Before today I hadn't cried since I was five." That suprised me from what I had seen was her being an emotional reck.

"Well, I suppose it's a big thing finding out that vampires exist and everything," I chuckled and she just nodded looking quite awkward with what I had juct said to her.

"Not to mention almost being eaten by two of them," She added and I was truely sorry to her about that.

 "Stay away from Mark, he wouldn't hesitate to bite you if he thought he'd get away with it," I stated truthfully and it scared me about how true it was. Mark was my cousin and basiccly my brother but he was a pain and reletavilly evil.

"Jordan?" She asked quietly resting her head on my shoulder. I didn't mind it felt nice and I very rarely got to be like this with anyone. I'm independent so I never let people see me and Ella wouldn't brake down the walls that it had taken years to build up. I just missed being like this even if it never went any further and it was just to comfort her because I had been so horrid to her.

"Yeah," I said wondering what she would ask and whether I could answer the question.

"Am I really that annoying?" She asked. Well this is unexpected.

I hesitated before I answered, "Do you want the honest answer?"

She didn't answer.

"Jordan?" She said breaking the new awkward silence.

"Yeah" I asked slightly amused to see whether her question would be good like the last.

"What happens if the memory thing never works?" She asked and I didn't know how to answer this question. We had planned it out but it might not turn out that way.

I stiffened up before I answered the question I was dreading, "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Suddenly she fell asleep on my shoulder and I was shocked when I began to hear her soft snoring in my ears. I lifted her up keeping her head on my shoulder. She began to stir but went back to sleep pulling her thumb into her mouth and nuzzled her head into my neck and pressed her body up into my chest.

I carried her into the house and up the stairs but bumped into Rosalyn who was walking around outside Ella's room almost pulling her black hair out.

"Where was she... aw she looks so sweet," Rosalyn started very sternly but then softened up when she saw her.

"She was in the garden," I said quietly so not to wake her.

"What did she do you've been crying?" Rosalyn said following me into Ella's room as I was putting her into bed.

"I was at mums grave and she found me," I said as I pulled her quilt over her and tucked her in.

"Mum died so many years ago Jord, you need to stop acting like that, I know it was hard and all but forty years," Rosalyn said.

"Rose, It's just it was always you and dad then me and mum and I lost her, dad doesn't listen to me," I said before walking off.

The next morning I went down stairs after my long two hours sleep. Yeah vampires sleep but not very long and it refreshed us but we didn't need as much as humans need. I was only in my boxers as I walked down the stairs with my messy black hair. I walked into the kitchen to see Rosalyn in a pair of shorts and a tank top eating a bowl of cereal.  Yeah, we eat normal food as well as blood. Really films give us bad names.

Ryan was eating a slice of toast also only in his boxers and also with his hair in a complete mess. Mark was also at the table in the same stuff and Ryan and I but he wasn't eating.

"Morning Jordan," They all said.

"Morning," I said sitting down at the table.

"Dad wants to talk with us all, while Ella's asleep," Rosalyn said as dad appeared. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

"Okay so Rosalyn already said I need to talk with all of you, It's about the proceedings with Ella. I know your taking her out for clothes and that later which can go ahead but she won't be staying with us for long. I had a speak with the council about what should happen because this is a rare situation. They say that soon enough people will get suspitious and realise and straight away slayers will come," My father said as we all moved so we were in a line in front of him but Mark stood out of the way seen as he didn't know much about it all.

"Well they said a few more days won't hurt while everything is getting sorted. You need to get Ella to have a supervised phone call to her parents saying she is staying with a friend for a few days, and that friend is you, Jordan. You will then have her the day before she goes back say that there was a huge crisis at home and ask if you can move in with her," My dad proceeded and I didn't mind the plan.

"We are going to enroll you three into the school. You need to keep an eye on Ella because she will be killed and so will you three if the slayers find out your vampires and she has the blood," My dad carried on. Ryan had drifted off and was looking out the window. I saw Ella out of the corner of my eye looking frustrated, probably because she couldn't hear our convosation.

"She does know we know she's there right?" I whispered.

"I don't think so," My dad said.

"You can come in, Ella." Ryan said with a grin on his face.

"How did you know I was there?" She pouted like a chiled.

"We're vampires." Mark said and she was shocked. She quickly ran behind the three of us for protection. Oh there's so much she needs to learn.

Mark just smiled at her, running his tongue over his teeth. I could imagine her eyes widening in shock and being scared.

"Ella If I wanted to bite you I would already have," He stated Which made me laugh and we all turned to her. Her eyes locked to my chest and she began to smile.

"urgh, um..." She stuttered and at this moment I decided to act like Ryan.

"You like what you see?" I smiled.

"No-o," She stuttered and blushed as she turned to Ryan and began oggiling again.

"Nah, Jord she prefers what she see's now," He chuckled and she just blushed again.

"Ignore them idiots Ella, They're going to get ready and then you'll go shopping," Rosalyn said.

"Another one, really?" I groaned as we walked into another clothes shop.

"Well next time you'll think before you kidnap someone," She chuckled stacking Ryan's arms with more clothes.

"Sorry okay, can we go we have spent four hundred pounds in the matter of two hours, you can't possibly need more," Ryan groaned.

"Okay just this lot and then we can go," She sighed throwning the last of the stuff at Ryan.

We then finally walked over to the till to pay.
