Spy Rule 13: Be aware of your surroundings

"Wake up you dumb whore," said my bastard of a father while he slapped me. He then says "Wake up you bitch. You are going to be late for school."

I sigh and roll out of bed and get ready for the day. Once I finally get to school I go to my locker and I get my books out that I need for the day.

When I was younger I was forced to take some tests and apparently I am extremely smart so I am in all advanced placement classes, also known as college level courses, and I get all A's. My thoughts were interrupted by the cheerleaders rushing me at my locker. They rush me because first of all they are all fake trying to get and stay on my good side and second I am their captain. Yes I am the captain of the cheering team but funny thing is I am also the bad girl of the school and I am pretty close to being kicked out.

My co captain Kayla says to me "Kylie haven't you heard that Principal Hawkins found out that you are the one who broke Jimmy's leg?"

I rolled my eyes and replied "For once that was actually and accident and I apologized to Jimmy and he told me he knew it was an accident."

She then said " I know but Principal Hawkins was questioning him yesterday after school. He told Hawkins it was an accident but Hawkins doesn't believe him!"

It finally hit me. I was going to be kicked out. I begin to panic knowing the trouble I will be in if I do get kicked out. Suddenly the PA system hisses with static and the hallways echo with the sentence I knew was coming, "Kylie Jones please report to the principal office."

I head towards the office and I open the door. Principal Hawkins was waiting for me. He says "Miss.Jones it has come to my attention that you have caused way to many issues here and that you are a danger to my student."

I suddenly get angry and reply in a scarily calm voice "Thats it. You are going to kick me out. With out even hearing my side of the story. Jimmy even told you that it was an accident. You cant tell my dad please don't call him. Please give me one more chance."

Principal Hawkins sighs and says "I am sorry Miss. Jones but you have to leave and your father has already been informed."

I don't even bother to say anything back I just turn around and slam the door shut. All I know is I can't go home not for now anyways. As I start walking home from school, I notice a black suburban following me. I then feel as if some one is following. I pull out my phone and use the front camera to see who is behind me. I notice a man in a suit following me. I look around and notice that I am on an empty street, which I am made at myself for not noticing sooner. I My mind is yelling '0h shit, I got to get out of here. Where do I go? What do I do?'

My thoughts were interrupted by the man in the suit saying "Excuse me miss?"

I turn to look at him and I size him up. I then look for the suburban and notice it stopped at the end of the street. I think of a plan to get away and when I think of one I look back at the man and answer "yes sir?"

He looked disappointed in my reaction but he then asks "Do you know..."

I cut him off my punching him in his throat and turning and running. I am glad I like to stay fit and play every sport, and I've taken classes in martial arts, gymnastics, ect. I soon realize the car is coming so I sprint around the corner and see a tree. I grab the lower branch and swing myself up. The car turns the corner and parks on the side of the street. The first guy who gets out is the one who I punched in the throat. Then a second and third guy gets out and they are all dressed the same as the first. Guy number one says "Find her she couldn't have gotten far."

Guy two and three take off to go look for me. Guy number one pulls out a phone and calls some one. He says "We found the first girl."

He then says "no we don't have her."

He then waits a few minutes before replying "At first I thought you were wrong about her. I started to talk to her and she acted like it was totally fine that some random guy was talking to her. I was going to ask her if she knew some random name but before I could get the question out she punched me in throat and turn and ran."

He was silent again before saying "yes sir we did go to her school and pull her files. We pulled her file from the police station too."

He then listen for a few more minutes before hanging up the phone. He walked away and I slowly started to climb out of the tree. I hit the the ground landing on my feet almost silently. I started to run in the opposite direction of where the men were but all of a sudden I heard "Hey you stop! I found her!"

I turned around to see who it was and it was one of the suit guys and he started running after me. I turned a corner with him not to far behind me to see the other two men in suits at the other end on the street. I turned another corner to end up in a dark alley. I went behind a dumpster and picked up a pipe that was laying on the ground. Not to long after the three men came around the corner. They were slowly walking the alley. Once the third guy walked past the dumpster I quickly got from behind the dumpster and hit the third guy in the back of the head with the pipe. I must have knocked him out because he slumped to the ground. The other two men turned around and they were getting ready to fight me. I quickly surveyed my surroundings to find any advantages for me. The first man came at me and went to throw a punch and I hit him in the wrist with the pipe. He groaned in pain and I went to hit him again but he grabbed the pipe and threw it. I was then grabbed from behind by the second guy. The first guy jabbed a needle into my neck and I started to feel sleepy. The last thing I remember before losing consciousness was being thrown into the black suburban and then having something put over my head.

These first, 6 chapters are based on the part of the book summary where it says 6 teens and 5 states which is why the first 6 chapters will be titled "State #"
