Chapter 26 - Lovely Surprise Visit

Amina's POV

I spent the morning with the Dobres, sadly I only had my morning class with Marcus. I wish I could hangout with him today.

"Amina, are you home?" Alisha yelled from the hallway.

"Yeah, I am!" I came towards her. She just came home from her classes too.

"So I guess, you had a good time yesterday!" She wiggled with her eyebrows laughing.

"Seriously?" I laughed. We just argued and talked about my time with Marcus.

"Tell me, what are you wearing to today's party? By the way is Marcus coming too?" She asked.

"Um, what party?" I was totally surprised. Since these few weeks, that Marcus and I have started dating, I totally lost track of all the parties. Just like that one time I went on a date with Marcus, instead of going to another party. But honestly, parties aren't actually that cool. The only people that go are always waiting for someone to hook up with or just want to drink. Okay, there are also the people that just want to have a good time, but honestly how many are those?

"Amina? I mean, I am honestly really happy that you guys are dating and that he's helping you and all. But seriously not going to parties, that is really sad. It's like you have become one of those clingy and desperate girlfriends, but trust me I know all about it. I was in that phase too, sadly I'm gonna help you out already. Now call him and his friends or his brother or whatever and tell him that you're going to a party with him. Go!" She said.

"Ugh, finee!" I answered not in the mood for a party at all. Lately I just feel like cuddling and spending time at home with Marcus. I guess that's what Alisha was talking about. Gosh, I have really become a clingy and desperate girlfriend, alright that has got to change. I quickly rushed to get my phone out of my room.

"Hey babe, I wanna go to this party and I want you to come with me, you in?" I asked without letting Marcus speak for a second.

"Um, yeah hi to you too. But yes I'm totally in, when do you want me to pick you up, princess?" He replied laughing.

"Marcus, the party is on campus. You don't need to pick me up." I giggled.

"Yes, I do. Besides I want to, as a boyfriend I'm not going to let anyone lay his hands on you. You okay with that, baby?" He said concerned, but I could feel him smiling on the other end of the line.

"Yeah, I'd love that." I confessed. "You can pick me up at 8:00 and you can bring Lucas or your friends! See ya then baby." I was blushing.

"That's more like it. I love you." He replied.

"Love you too, byee!" I said.

"Bye." He ansered and I hung up.

"Well, well, somebody's happy!" Alisha smirked.

"I just have the best boyfriend, I still can't believe what an amazing person he is. I t's just impossible." I replied dreaming off.

"I can't wait to see more of him, you really are into him. You love him, clearly. But he better not break your heart like that asshole last year. He was unbelievable!" She said with eyes full of anger, it's impossible how protective she is.

"Alisha, it's okay. Marcus is nothing like Jack, he's kind, caring, protecting, loving, funny, athletic, and also way more good looking. All of that in one, it's not something you find everyday. I love Marcus, he loves me, and nothing or no one can get between us. We're one, a team. Really, you don't have to worry about me!" I convinced her and hugged her.

"I hope so, at least Jack hasn't come around this year. I heard he even got an apartment with his friends off of campus, after everything shitty he's done to you and the other innocent girls. What type of person has multiple girlfriends and sleeps with all of them at the same time? It's just so shitty! Well, he will not come back, I know it. He hasn't so far anyway, I mean the whole campus knows about his stupid mistake." She laughed a bit at his stupidness.

"Can you get the door, Amina?" Alisha was still getting ready.

"Yeah, I'm on it." I was already ready heading towards the door and opened it. And my heart stopped. How dare he come here?

"Hello there, pretty one. I'm heading to the party, but I guess that boyfriend of yours is picking you up anyway. Don't you look at me like that, you'd be stupid to think I wouldn't find out. What we had was really something, don't get me wrong. But you were such a mess back then after you found out, and you thought you had it all figured out. I'll find out what your secret is, I didn't spend all that fucking time with you for nothing. And congrats on your 4 week anniversary, you're just real cute. Don't forget me." Jack laughed in his deep voice and wanted to walk away, but I grabbed his arm.

"There is no fucking secret Jack, you're pathetic. You want to know what happened to me? You. You were my big mistake. Yeah, it's true that I lost my mother, but you know what? People lose their parents every day, so I don't get to make it such a big deal. I don't get why you're making such a big deal out of it anyway, I'm happier than I have been after all these years. I loved my mom more than anything, still do. But that is not a secret, my friends know. So you're the one who lost after even trying to win. Now get lost before I kick that small ass of yours, this is our property." I looked at him laughing just thinking about how pathetic he is to even think that he can get to me. So he just walked away, ashamed and embarrassed because he didn't get to me. He's just out to get some revenge.

He messed with me right after I started over, but he's not going to get what he wants. He's hurt too many girls, including me. Even if we only we're together for 2 weeks, I figured it out first. I had to fix everything after he hurt us, funny how that's how I mainly found my girlfriends. We have to group up again. Immediately.
