Friend - sometimes it's easy to get frightened, lonely and scared. I think it can happen
to any one of us. If you are having one of those days - then I want to encourage you
to look to the Lord - and focus on his love - and the many wonderful things he has done
for you.
He created the world - and then decorated it with the utmost beauty. He thought about
how happy he wanted us humans to be - so he made the trees, the stars, the moon,
the mountains, the lakes, the flowers, the birds and even all the animals for our enjoyment,
eg why do you think he made the dogs? Perhaps - because if you have one - you know how
they can become mans best friend. They love you unconditionally - they will always
be there for you...no matter what. When you open the front door - they are so excited to see you.
I encourage you to get out in the open air – go for a walk - play some positive
Christian music, read the bible - and spend a little bit of time in prayer (It doesn't even
have to be long). Let's pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the gift of today. We thank you for all the many blessings you
give to us on a daily basis. Lord I pray for each person reading this prayer to
feel your presence in their lives. May you fill them with your holy spirit, give them comfort
joy, peace, happiness and the blessed assurance that if they accept you into their
lives - they will one day spend eternity with you - an awesome, powerful, loving, caring
forgiving God. We know Lord that you only want the best for us. You know the end from the beginning. You know our hopes, our dreams, our deepest desires, our worries/anxieties/stresses.
You don't want us to be stressed out and worn out by worrying over things that are beyond our control. We can either trust you or we can't Lord - and we know we can trust you.
We are not to let feelings guide my life - but instead we are to walk by faith - not by sight.
It is great to have a reliable, trusting, caring, loving friend such as yourself Lord. No-one could ever love us more than you can. WE KNOW THAT WITH YOU - ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE - LET US NOT FOCUS ON THE IMPOSSIBILITIES - BUT INSTEAD LET US FOCUS ON THE POSSIBILITIES WITH GOD = FOR WE KNOW THAT WITH GOD - ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
We have an attitude of gratitude Lord - for you have showered us with blessings. You are our refuge, our rock, our salvation. our way of escape, our comforter, and our ever present help.
Thank you Lord for not giving up on us when we have turned our backs on you. Thank you for wooing us back to you by your constant love -
We face daily challenges Lord that sometimes overwhelm us - but Lord as we refocus our eyes back onto you and your great love for us - we are encouraged and comforted. Your love is strong and unbreakable.
Lord alot of people are going through trying times right now - I pray for who ever is reading this prayer Lord to be comforted and encouraged by your word and your holy spirit. May you give them your
strength to endure whatever pain/stresses/heartaches they are going through right now. You know their problems Lord - you are all knowing, all loving, all forgiving, all caring. Surround them by your mighty angels and lead them in the right direction. Help them to love you - and never to doubt you. Fear and doubt are destructive to our souls and sometimes we can feel paralysed by fear - but you came to give love and life - and not fear. Perfect love casts out fear.
Lord give us your strength by the power of your holy spirit to greet whatever problems/challenges/stresses we have to go through in a positive frame of mind - knowing that all
things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according
to his purpose.
Help us to relax, don't worry, and de- stress - because worrying and stressing doesn't change anything but it can give us an awful day. It steals precious moments from our day - and those are moments we should treasure - not stress away. You want us to have life and life more abundantly.
You want us to help and be there for each other Lord. You want us to show kindness, care and compassion to those around us - and for each other - for you are a God who has great kindness care and concern for us.
Help us Lord to take every opportunity to help those in need, whether it be a spiritual,
emotional or physical need. It might be prayers, a listening non judgemental ear, a friendly word, a smile, a phone call, an sms, email etc.
We all need help love encouragement and support Lord. Help us to see people through your eyes
and respond to their needs with swift caring action - for you are a God of love and action Lord. You want us to be reaching out to others - witnessing to them of your great love. Love doesn't act in self righteous ways. Love doesn't be selfish. Love doesn't deal with superficial and shallow thinking of judging others. Love is pure and long suffering and it instigates kindness compassion and care for others.
Walk with us through the coming week Lord - and help us to go the second mile to help those around us - help us to be so busy doing all the things we know we should be doing - so when we get to the other side - we can look back and know we did our very best. We want to live a life that is positive
happy, healthy, caring, and loving - not a life that is filled with negativity and regrets.
Help us never to be judgemental to others Lord as we don't have a right to judge another human being. He without sin only has a right to judge another - and that doesn't include us. Encircle us
in your arms of love, hold our hands and comfort our hearts by your awesome power and help us to
have a can do attitude" when it comes to helping others.
We love you Lord - you are worthy to be praised - you are the best leader, friend, comforter, chief executive office, support and encourager there ever was and is.
Walking with you on a daily basis gives us a calm assurance of a guaranteed eternal, wonderful, beautiful, glorious future walking the streets of Gold with you and those who choose to follow you. Heaven is going to be the most fantastic, awesome, wonderful place - where we will deal no more in
the currency of money - but in the currency of love. We look forward to our wonderful future Lord meeting up with our loved ones again and also being part of the most wonderful, caring, loving team with you as our leader. Amen.
Romans 8: 38 -39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to come, Neither height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
