Prompt: Ali had just gotten her heart broken because her boyfriend, Josh just broke up with her. She goes to Chemistry right after extremely upset. Her lab partner, Liam sees how upset she is and takes her to his house to comfort her. He tells her that he’s loved her for years, and certain “things” happen.

“No, please don’t do this!” Ali was pleading to her boyfriend, he was breaking up with her, a whole year of being together just went down the drain because he wants to break it off. 

“I’m sorry Ali, I just don’t feel it anymore,” Josh spoke to her with the most sincere voice possible, “I’m sorry, I do still love you but the spark isn’t there anymore. I don’t want to be in a relationship anymore where I don’t feel like I need to be.”

“But--” “Ali, I’m sorry but I can’t.” He softly kisses the top of her head before he walks off as the bell for class goes off. She really wants to just run after him, but she physically can’t. She sighs heavily, not letting the heartbreak get to her and she walks to the one place that she loves.

Chemistry, the only class that she’s not failing. The only reason being as to who her lab partner is. His name is Liam Payne and well, even though she was in the relationship with Josh, she still had a little crush on him. Who wouldn’t blame her? Those soft brown eyes and muscles, any girl would be dying to get with him.

She walks in and instantly spots Liam, he smiles widely at her but frowns once he sees that she was upset.

“Just, save it until after school,” Ali spoke as she brought her hand to his mouth. She really didn’t want to talk about it because she knew that she would have a massive breakdown. She just really wanted to get through the rest of the day without anything else happening to her.

The whole period Liam was trying to crack jokes to try to make her laugh, but nothing put a smile to her face. It made Liam sad because he didn’t know what was wrong and he wanted to help her. He watched as his best friend was holding back her tears and he just wanted to help her, he wanted to console her, but more importantly, he wanted her to be his.

He watched as the lighting from the window lightened her features amazingly. Her long brown hair glowing from the bright sun and it was like looking at a picture in a magazine. Liam was mesmerized from the beauty that she held.

It was finally the end of class, as well as the end of the day.  Ali was grabbing her things and she just wanted to leave, but as she tried to flee Liam grabs her wrist and pulled her to him. He looks into her glassy eyes and a tear trickles down.

“Ali, what’s wrong?” She just shakes her head and clenches her eyes. She opens them up and the tears started to cascade down her face. Liam grabs her and pulls her into a hug. She melts into his arms and starts to cry into his shoulder.

After about 5 or so minutes, Ali pulled back from the embrace. Liam saw her bloodshot, swollen eyes look back at him.

“Don’t worry love, I’ll take care of you.” He brings his thumbs to her face to wipe off her tears and he wraps his arm around her waist as they walk out of the building.
