Megan twirled the headband around her wrist between her fingers, avoiding the eyes of her therapist. It was the end of the week which meant spilling her guts to this women who knew so much about her already. Megan hated therapy, she was so tired of talking about herself and everything that's been going wrong in her life. It was only when she was sat in the leather chair across from Adina she began to lock herself away.

"So tell me about this guy."

Megan froze, eyes snapped to Adina disapproval laced in them. "How do you know about him?"

She doesn't recall ever bringing him up yet Adina seemed to already know so much about him. It made Megan uneasy to think about someone watching her without her knowing. She was beyond paranoid after everything that happened to her when she was a kid. She couldn't go anywhere without look over her shoulder, she was always on edge and there was nothing she could do about it

"Wasn't he the one that triggered your panic attack in the car? "

Megan eyed the women warily, "It was my fault and he doesn't matter anymore he's engaged to be married."

Adina began writing something in her notebook that caught Megan's attention. "What are you writing down? I thought we were here to talk about me not someone I've only met three times."

"So you guys just happened to bump into eachother on three different occasions?" She hummed in knowing.

Megan scowled, huffing, "He knows where I work! It's inevitable, trust me if I didn't have to see him for the rest of my life I wouldn't suffer a lost."

"What's his name?"  Adina questioned ignoring Megan's distasteful comment. "Whats he like?"

Megan shifted in her chair, threading her fingers through her tangled hair. "Why do you care! I just told you he's not important!"

"Why do you keep evading the question?" She countered, "If he wasn't important you would have no problem handing over information about him."

Angry, and tired Megan picked up her things, "I don't have time for this I have a early shift tomorrow and this is pointless."

Adina rolled her eyes at Megan's dramatics, she always got like this when she didnt want to talk about something. "Your session isn't over until I say it's over. Sit down, we don't have to talk about this mystery person now but eventually you'll have to if he's going to be in your life. You have to understand that I'm doing this for you and your recovery. And if he threatens the progress that we've made I'll have to get involved."

Megan sighed, kicking her shoes off and laying back down on the couch. "I hate this so much."

"I know you do." She said softly, "You have been coming to me for too long for you to be just now starting to lock yourself away. I only want what's best for you."

"You're right, its just, I'm not used to Someone besides you whose aggressive and doesn't give up. You know? It's like I'm still getting used to human contact." Megan admitted, "And now I have this guy who've I've only met a couple times and I feel drawn to him. A part of me wants him around."

For some odd reason Adina grinned at that, a weird grin that in all her years of therapy Megan never once seen. "What?" Megan smiled, her voice filled with amusement at her friends antics.

"Megan I think, no, matter fact I know you have your first crush!" Adina gushed, "Isn't it exciting! Your finally letting yourself live by showing interest in people."

Megan's face tinted pink, as she sunk back into her chair. "It's not a crush! I barely know him!" She denied, "And even if I did for one he's engaged and two he would never be interested in me."

"I bet if you opened yourself up a little and tried to have a conversation with him. You'd be surprised by the outcome. Matter fact that's your homework for next week! Be more social, I want you to to Atleast have a ten mintues conversation with two people by the end of the week and report back to me."

"What?" Megan half yelled, half whined, "What could someone possibly talk about for ten mintues!"

"You're doing it right now with me for even longer." Adina noted.

"Yeah but that's only because I have to and you always bake cookies before our session." Megan joked, poping one in her mouth.

Adina rolled her eyes at that, " This project I'm giving you is going to be a big part in your recovery Megan. You've been out for two weeks now. You have to be more social, I report all this back to the center and if they even suspect that you're not fitting to their standards you can be readmitted."

A frown broke on Megan's face, the new information catching her off gaurd. "Are you serious right now? Are you saying these people can take away my freedom again at any time? What's the point of letting me out then and making me believe that I was done with this for good?! I'm not going back Adina. I swear to god I'd die before I go back to that place."

"Calm down, they do that to every patient. Since you were admitted at such a young age and your legal rights were handed over to us. If we see that your mental health is in danger we're authorized to take you out of society and into a more refined facility for people your age."

"Like hell you're!" Megan shouted standing up, "I thought you were on my side! I thought I could trust you."

"Megan-" Adina begun to say only to be greeted by the door to her office slamming shut as an irate Megan briskly walked out of her office and the building. Fighting back her own tears.

This to her felt like the ultimate betrayal, the women she had trusted and has confide in for most of her life was working for people that had her life in their hands. No one should have that much power and control over a person. She was twenty three, she should have the right to make decisions for herself. No one knew what was best for her more than she did. She didn't know what to do, Should she call a lawyer? And at the thought of this becoming a legal war didn't feel right. She didn't want to sue them, she just wanted her life back. She wanted her freedom and to be able to wake up in the morning and smile at the fact that no one could take this from her.

So there was only one thing left to do, there was only one person she knew who could help her and that was the same man that once fought for her mother's freedom. Braxton.
