chapter 3-the call

Karren’s pov

Slowly the sun crept through my window, exposing even the recesses of my room, which were hidden moments before. I opened my eyes to the sound of birds singing in the tree outside my room. Slowly, the events from yesterday returned to my still sleeping mind. I sighed. I moved towards my draws and took out my school cloths. Suddenly my phone started ringing.

“Hay, you up yet Karren?” I heard Trisstan say on the other end of the phone.

“I am now. Why have you called me before I’ve had my breakfast?” I asked.

“It’s Logon. Do you think he’ll be at school tomorrow?”

“I don’t know. I think he’ll stay home. Oh and Triss.”

“What?”

“Don’t mention what we were told yesterday, if he wants the world to know, he’ll say so.”

“Ok, bye”

“Bye.” I hung up. I quickly got dressed, ate breakfast and left for school.

Time skip 

As Triss and me walked into the school grounds, I looked around expecting to see Logon sitting under a tree or walking around. I didn’t see him so I knew he wasn’t going to be here today. I must have given some visual sign that I was sad because Triss suddenly stopped.

“I’m sure he’s all right Karren.” She said.

“I can’t. I worry about my friends.” I replied.

“you have feelings for him don’t you.”

“I don’t know. I cant get my head around what I’m feeling.” We moved towards the tree we usually sat under. I slumped down and looked at my legs.

“Triss.”

“Yes”

“I think I do have feelings for him that go beyond friend ship.”

“Well you two look like your havin’ a good day.” I heard a voice that I recognised. I jumped up.

 “Logon!” I yelled, running up and hugging him.

“It’s good to see you too Karren.” He replied laughing. I let go and jumped back.

“I thought you weren’t coming today.” I said.

“Well, if I had stayed home I would be going through my parents stuff and that would be boring.” He replied. I suddenly felt my face heating up, so I looked away. When I looked back I saw that Logon looked a little embarrassed.

“How ya doing Logon?” Triss said, more to change the subject.

“I’m going well. Thanks again for visiting yesterday, it showed me that some people still are there for me.” He replied.

“We will always be there for you.” I said.

“wait, where will you live, since you can’t live on your own and probably have to sell the house.” Triss suddenly said.

“Well, I am living in my own house for two more weeks so I can clear out all my stuff, then I’m moving into the old school building across the road.” Logon replied matter-of-factly.

“What, I thought that building was going to be knocked down.” I blurted.

Logon smile, “Yes it was but the government has decided to furnish it and let me live there. I’m moving my stuff there in the next few days.”
