Matt + Adam One-Shots

Mutual Attraction

*Hi, this is my first fan-fic that I have written in a while. Please bear with me, it may not be that good (lol)...

Ding-dong.  Adam was lounging on his sofa, till he heard the doorbell ring.  He smiled knowing it was his best friend Matt.  They had planned a guy's day to just hang out, watch TV, make music, etc.  Adam had just gotten back from his tour and Matt had just gotten back from producing a new record.  

Adam went to the door and opened it.  "Hey!" Matt gave Adam a hug, smiling.  Trying not to be noticed, Adam took in the musky scent of his friend's cologne.  He was glad to see his friend again and smell that scent that Matt always wore.  "Hey, how's it going?" Matt asked Adam with a grin on his face.  "Good, good. Come on in."  Matt followed Adam inside and into the living room.  Matt sat down on the couch, while Adam went into the kitchen.  "Anything to drink? Eat?" "No food for me, I had lunch before I came here, but water sounds good." "Alright."

Adam came back with two water bottles in hand and a bowl of chips for later.  He plopped himself down on the couch.  

"So how did the new record go?"

 "It went well, I think it's going to do well on the charts, well, I'm crossing my fingers it does, lol."

  "I'm sure it will, you are an amazing musician!"  

"Aw thanks! You are, too. Say I had an idea, I know I technically already finished making the record, but I was wondering if you wanted to collaborate on a song together? I can find a way to sneak it onto the record, or I can add it to the Deluxe version." 

Adam smiled.  "I would love that! You know I had an idea and a title stuck in my head.  Goodbye Dubai?"  "That is a genius title, my friend!" Matt smiled at Adam, who was trapped in his thoughts.  My friend...but I wish we were more.  No, we can't! Matt's in a relationship with Sarah. I need to get these thoughts out of my head. I really do!

"Hey, Adam.  While I was away, I kind of had some things on my mind.  I kinda wanted to talk to you about them, if that's ok with you?" 

Adam looked at him, wondering what he was talking about. "Sure, go ahead. I'm all ears."

"Ok, well you know how I'm in a relationship with Sarah?"

"Yeah."

"Well, I kinda don't have feelings for her anymore like I used to. It started a week ago and I don't know how to tell her this, but, I have feelings for someone else...you."

Adam stared at him, wide-eyed.  He tried to form words, he desperately wanted to vent out all the feelings he had for Matt, let them all out. But he couldn't.

"I...."

"I know, you probably don't feel that way. I am so sorry I even said any---"

Adam did the only thing he could do instead of words.  He leaned in and kissed him.

The kiss lasted for more than 30 seconds, till they pulled away.

Adam smiled at Matt who stared at him.

"I couldn't say anything, cause I didn't know how. But I like you, Matt. No, I love you."

"I love you, too, Adam Young." 

They smiled and kissed another time.  Matt took Adam in his arms and they cuddled on the sofa. Matt slowly caressing Adam's cheek.  

"So what are you going to do about Sarah?"

"I kinda called her earlier on the way here and broke up with her."

"You what?"

"Yeah, she took it better than I thought she would've.  She kinda saw I wasn't interested in her anymore and knew I was starting to like you.  She could tell when I was away from you, I felt the loneliest I had ever felt, even with her there to keep me company.  She's completely cool with it and told me to tell you if we did end up together we have her support all the way."

Adam smiled and moved closer into Matt's warm chest.  Matt kissed Adam on the forehead.

"So what do you wanna do next?"

Adam smiled and grabbed Matt's hand and led him upstairs.
