Matt looked with fear in his eyes at the yellow fuzzy creature. Who would have thought something that looked more like a Muppet, could come off as menacing and be purely evil at the same time. He didn't know why he was here and no matter how he didn't want to be stuck in a damp, cold room with this thing. He did want to figure out what he meant by, "He never told you" and wanted to know who this Flames guy was and what he had to with it all.

"Well short and simple, you know Flames Pond. Agent Flames Pond, to be more exact. He's what you people call 'husband'." Matt froze in place. No, no it can't be! Flames is...Adam? "I can see you're shocked, as I expected. Let's just say me and him go way back.

Flashback
August 24, 2001
A fifteen year old Adam had just finished the last bit of training for the day. He was exhausted and headed to the Agency's cafeteria for some well-needed food. He ordered a ham sandwich, chips, and a water bottle. He placed his food at the nearest table, yet right as he was about to sit and enjoy his meal, the sirens went off, signaling a Code Red. He groaned, yet knew whatever this was, it was serious. He got up and caught up with the other agents scrambling down the halls to the Emergency area.

Chief Agent Fielding's voice filled the room. "Agents, listen very carefully. Someone or something has found our whereabouts and they are on their way here. They could show up any minute, so everyone into your positions. You've been trained and know where to go! Now MOVE!" The agents and Adam wasted no time into getting into the positions they were taught when they first started their training.

Adam ran down the hall into the northern corridor where he and other agents around his age would be, ready to fight at any given moment. But as he got close, a glass window shattered open and in came two bulky-looking men. He knew he shouldn't be showing fear. He had been trained and had been on practice missions with huge muscular men before, but these guys were huge. He had some muscle on him from all his combat training, yet still for his age, he was still stick thin and frail.

He was about to get into his attack position, but felt big arms throw him into a chokehold. He tried his hardest to fight them off, but it was too late. He felt a cloth over his nose and mouth and darkness soon came upon him.

Adam felt groggy and out of himself. He tried to get up, to push himself off the cold floor, but realized he was tied up. Panic rose and he started to squirm, yelling out as loud as he could, "Help! Help! Anyone, please!!" Just then the door flew open and light came in. He squinted to see someone or some kind of figure move into the lit doorway. "Yelling won't help. Walls are soundproof." He saw the figure move in closer, towards him.

"So you must be THE Flames Pond? Man, you look just like your father! Randal, or should I say Agent Flames, Sr. We had some good times. Till he locked me up in prison, yet I got out. Now, it seems they wanted to train his son. Keep the bloodline going? Anyways, you're not getting out of here till I get what I want." "What do I have that you want?" "I see they haven't told you about it yet. You have abilities, far more greater than your father ever had. I have a brilliant mind, I happen to be smarter than many of my kind. Together think of what we could do! You know I saw potential in your father when he was an Agent, yet he kept denying me. I don't know why..."

"It's because your evil and you deserve to be locked up for good!" Adam received a slap from one of the Fuzzy Guy's henchmen. "How dare you disrespect me! Now you have just made me even more angry. By the way, I left special little gift for you and the Agency. A gift which I am sure will be a surprise!" Adam's eyes widened. It couldn't be what he was thinking: this Fuzzy Guy had planted a bomb somewhere inside of the Agency. It could go off in any minute.

If he wasn't tied up, he would've tried to make his escape back to the Agency to remove the bomb.  He needed to find a way to warn the Agency about the bomb.  He watched the Fuzzy Guy laugh and make his way out the door.  His two guards stayed in their positions just outside in the hallway.

Just then, he heard some shuffling outside and two loud thuds.  The door burst open and he was surprised to see Austin, one of his fellow agents.  He ran over to Adam and untied him.  "What's happened? Has that thing hurt you?"  "No, but he has planted a bomb somewhere inside the agency.  We need to move quickly!" Austin's eyes went wide and he dragged Adam out of the door, past the two unconscious guards. They went through the big hole in the wall to the outside and ran to the helicopter that was waiting for them.

They jumped in and the helicopter began to take off. As they were flying back to the Agency, Adam talked to Austin.
"How did you find me?" "As I was running to get into position, I saw you get taken by those two men. I snuck out of the Agency and ran to the helicopter warehouse and Agent Hanson, one of the pilots, agreed to fly me and help me find your location."

They landed at the Agency's helicopter pad and made their way into the building. Chief Agent Fielding saw them and ran over to them. "What happened? We were all worried about you Flames! We had gotten word that the Fuzzy Guy had come to the Agency to find you."  "I'll explain everything later we just need to find the bomb!" Chief Fielding was shocked. "What do you mean a bomb?!" "He told me he had left a gift for us at the Agency and that it would be a surprise. If my guesses are correct he has planted a bomb somewhere here in the building and we need to find it before it destroys everything!"

Chaos erupted as all the agents made a mad dash to look for any suspicious packages or unusual objects. Flames, Austin, and Fielding made their way to her office and rushed to the computer to track anything weird in the building using radar. It was then they heard someone say: "I found some package in the west wing of the building!" Agent Matthews made his way to the office, running. "There's a package lying on the ground near the youth agents' wing and it's addressed to Flames."

"Matthews, call the Bomb Squad and tell them to get here NOW!" Fieldings demanded. "Austin, take Flames to a safe place in the building and keep an eye on him. I don't want this Fuzzy Guy to come back and endanger him and the other agents than they already are right now. I'll have the other older agents evacuate the other youths."

Austin nodded and took Flames by the hand, leading him the basement shelter bunkers.

While the Bomb Squad was making their way to the Agency and Fielding and her agents were helping evacuate the youth agents from their rooms, Fuzzy Guy and his men were making their way back to the Agency. Fuzzy Guy was furious that Flames had been rescued and now things were gonna get more intense!

Note: Sorry for long flashback scene, was going to try to get whole flashback in one chapter, but then realized that would be the longest flashback scene in the history of flashbacks (even though I'm sure there have been long flashbacks here on Wattpad before...) Anyways, next chapter will be a short continuation and ending of flashback. And then the chapter after that will be back to Adam and his plan to rescue Matt.
