"Magical."

That's all anyone thought about the snow.

But the late winter wasn't the only thing that excited people. Exams were coming up and you barely saw anyone outside. People were too busy indoors studying their brains out and exercising their memory. Tough times.

Especially for the first years. Including me. But, being a vampire, I've been around for plenty of generations. And anything that has to do with history, I nail it.

But history changes over the years. Wether it's because of religions, beliefs or laws. It's confusing. But not for me, I'm one of the smartest girls on campus.

"Beth." Malcolm starts.

"You're smart. Tutor me. Please?"

"Fine, only because I want you to do good." I laugh. I stand up from my bed and look into a drawer near the mini fridge. I dig out a few books on history, and pull most of them out. I put 2 in Malcolm's arms and I keep 3 with me.

"Okay. Open this one.. And turn to the topic on Native Americans." I instruct, and point the the book in Malcolm's left hand. He scurries to find the correct topic and when he found it, he looked at me. "Okay, now. Read me about their foods."

Malcolm read a paragraph about Native American foods. I told him to read it over 5 times, and read the next paragraph 5 times. And to read each paragraph on his subject 5 times.

"Okay. This subject is done." Malcolm says, 30 minutes later. "Good! Now let's go to the cafe. I need to talk to you about something." I say, shoving the 5 books in the same drawer I got them from.

I took Malcolm's hand and we walked out to his car. I step into the passenger seat and Elliot sits in the drivers seat. He drove us to the empty cafe at the other side of the campus. We chose the two sofas that were against the closest window so we had the view of the car.

"What's up?" Malcolm asks. I take his hand and intertwine my fingers around his. "Well, we've been roommates for awhile now, and ever since you asked me what my name was, I knew you were gonna be a better person than people think you are. And since we started dating, I've gotten to know you even more, and I think I.." I start, but then I look down at the ground, soon after looking up again.

"I think I'm in love."

"What?!" Malcolm yelps. "With who?!"

I laugh and smile at him.

"You." I giggle. "You idiot."

Malcolm picks me up from my seat, kissing me. It was a light kiss. A perfect kiss.

"Before we have our exams, I want you to meet my parents." Malcolm smiles. I nod lightly and we hop in the car. I didn't know he was gonna take me there right away, but I don't mind.

"Oh one more thing?" He says, looking me in the eyes.

"Hm?"

"I love you too."
