About a week had past since Christmas and we were all back in class.
This specific day, though, the first day back, I felt like complete and utter crap. I was constantly dizzy, always needed something to drink, and my stomach was just in pain.
It was stronger than the stomach flu, it was stronger than having your period - it was really, really painful.
I was excused from class to go home and rest. I was lying down with Boris for the rest of the day, excluding the times I had gotten up to puke.
I thought, hey, maybe I'm pregnant. Which would make my life even worse than it already is. But I remember when my mother was pregnant with my younger sister, and she didn't feel this bad. I could tell what she was feeling, and it was not this bad.
I went to class the next day, feeling a little better. I went to the bathroom a few more times than usual, but that was it.
"Maybe you're pregnant!" Marcy said to me, over the phone. "What?" I replied, confused. "Wouldn't I be kicked off campus?"
"Probably, but I bet Malcolm would go with y-"
"I promised my mother I'd come here for education, not sex! She'll think of me as a whore!"
"Maybe."
Marcy had finished up the call, and now, I'm horrified.
Me? Pregnant? With Malcolm's child?! No way.
There's only one way to truly find out ..

I wanted to purchase a pregnancy test from the local drug store. The cashier looked at me funny as I got out the money to pay for it.
Back home, I did what I had to do and waited the right amount of time.
I checked the little screen.
"Shit."
