ALYSSA'S POV

This is the first day I have to go to work from a different location. It feels weird waking up in his home. I feel like an intruder. Sounds insane and I know we have been dating for some time now, but I don't think I could get used to this. I put my journal down as I hear the door creak open. Justin has come in to say goodbye because he leaves for work two hours earlier than I do. I sit the journal on my lap and wait for him to say something. He just looks on.

"Yes?"

"Um. I'm leaving now. For...uh..for work." I give him a questioning look because he's acting all nervous for some reason. I get out of the bed and walk over to him....morning breath and all. I reach my arms out to hug him and he lets me in. I hug him tightly and say, "Have a wonderful day." He continues to stare at me. Then I realize I am not wearing a bra under my silk gown and its pretty short. I probably should have warned him about how I walk around the house. Basically not dressed for going out, just about naked.

"I am so sorry, I hope this doesn't mess any of this up," I say motioning between him and I. Without waiting for an answer, I grab my thick robe from over the back of the door and wrap it around me, quickly running for the bathroom. I slam the door behind me in hopes of forgetting what just happened, but it will most likely be on my mind all day. He acts like he has never seen a woman's body before! Oh God no! I'm in love with a virgin! Well, that may be good since I am too. Maybe it was meant to be.

After I showered and picked out an outfit I made myself a small breakfast. I try to stay away from coffee, but it's so darn addictive. Like alcohol or drugs. Hopefully, that is the only thing I will ever be addicted to. I turn my phone on and check my social media, Facebook only.  I sit and eat turning from Facebook to some soft music to calm myself. After I finished my breakfast I run back upstairs and begin to put on my clothes. I slowly take off my robe and go to find my body lotion. Cannot go without that, it is essential to my everyday activities! Rushing now realizing I am running out of time, I quickly throw on some socks and grab my tennis shoes from under the bed. I race for the door and I am stopped before I get halfway down the walkway outside. I run into something very hard and tall and nearly hit my head on the concrete.

"Wow! Could you not stand directly in front of my door!" I stand up dusting myself off and looked straight into the eyes of James. Justin's brother. I immediately thought about that night after dinner. A chill runs down my spine and goose bumps form on every part of my body. I try my best to ignore these subtle insecurities and continue my rant.

"James, what are you doing here!? I have to go to work soon!"

"I can tell you're in a rush. Do you need help carrying anything?"

"Um....no actually I got it." Just as I was finishing my sentence I realized I had dropped all of my papers from my laptop bag. "Okay well maybe I do, but I don't want your help. You can leave and don't come back here without calling Justin!" I bent down quickly to grab my papers and so did James.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"You know what." He looks directly at my face and it makes me anxious. How can he look someone in the eyes that he touched inappropriately?!

"It doesn't matter anymore. It's over, it's in the past. I said you can leave now!"

He didn't respond he just stood up, clenching his jaw tightly. I know  he wanted to say something. He slowly backed away and walked down the street with his hands tucked tightly in his pockets. I watched him until I could no longer see him. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I don't know how I just stood up to him, but I hope he gets the hint that I don't want him around ever.
